Another thunderstorm is coming through Denver in about 20 minutes. Would be real nice to actually have a lead when it happens and not squander a guy on 3rd and nobody out.

This guy literally can't even throw strikes. Embarrassing how bad we are.

If you think the offense has been good in this one, you haven't been watching. Abysmal approach in the 6th inning to completely bail out a terrible Rockies pitcher with no command.

Can't cash a runner at 3rd with none out. Inexcusable.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

Shocking that they didn’t score there. Said no one.

That At Bat was the reason why it was laughable to have Biggio/Espinal in the 2 Hole. Varsho with another terrible at bat in that situation. A year long hitting slump for him, not withstanding the few games he will look decent.

Whit takes a hanging slider, misses a hanging slider, and then rolls over for a double play to end the inning. He's our #5 hitter.

Merrifield looks off, missing that hanging slider.

What is your issue that you think whit sucks or that he's batting 5th?

If Whit Merrifield is batting 5th for your team, I would suggest your offense isn't very good, yes.

Who should be batting 5th today. Also, whits having a good season this year and is putting up numbers similar to his previous all star seasons

Merrifield is down to a 104 wRC+ on the season (barely above average) after a disgustingly bad 56 wRC+ month of August.
You've also completely missed the point of the post. It was not to criticize the arrangement of the batting order (there is no way to make this **** lineup look good right now). It was to criticize the offense.

If If was simply to criticize the offense whits position in the order wouldn't matter or need to be mentioned.

Why can't they pinch run for Kirk and then use Varsho as a 3rd catcher?

An offense that has a hitter as mediocre (again, he has a 104 wRC+, Cavan Biggio has a 103 wRC+ career) as Whit Merrifield batting #5 is not a good one. I'm still not sure how you're missing the point here.

Most teams would probably not look great with 3 everyday players out.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
