Astros are too young to know any better. They are playing under no pressure. Dangerous going forward.

Nope, would have been beaten like a drum.

Micheal Cuddyer is the Dodgers best offensive weapon tonight.

It's certainly frustrating watching teams pitch great and play superb defense along with getting timely hits after watching our first two games. It didn't feel like we were fully prepared for what playoff baseball was going to be like. It's pretty surprising considering we have quite a few guys who have been there before.
But it's hard to argue that the pitching in the NL is just far superior.

David Wright with a massive 2-run single!
Ron Darling who does the Mets broadcast and currently working for TBS this post season is absolutely loving that big time hit!

deGrom's hair is impressive to say the least! I wonder when he's going to pull an Erik Karlsson and get a haircut after years of avoiding the barbershop?

It just felt to me like the Jays played a few bad games. Like they've done 70+ other times out of 160+ games this year. It's certainly unfortunate timing to lose two straight in the playoffs, but there doesn't have to be some greater narrative or explanation for it all.
They could just as easily go off and win two straight now in Texas. It wouldn't necessarily mean they were any more ready for those games, it might just mean the foul balls stayed fair and they hit around the Rangers' mediocre starters.
One flew east, one flew west, one flew over the cuckoo’s nest.

Dodgers fans must be more disillusioned than any other set of fans in baseball. Highest payroll with an insane rotation and every single year their aces can't seem to deliver. For that team to not have a single WS appearance by now is a testament to how cruel baseball truly is.
The Mets, on the other hand, go into that series with a bunch of kids that are insanely talented and don't know any better and although it's early look like they'll have a 2-0 stranglehold on the series. Hopefully someone finds a way to just knock the Cards out and we can have someone knew win this whole thing.

Love watching postseason baseball, but this New York vs LA game is hard to watch because of the Mets' battery right now.

Don't think that you can blame the Dodgers' aces; Kershaw had some rare control issues in the 7th, but he departed having surrendered 1 ER in 6.2 (at which point their 'pen immediately plated the two inherited runners). Greinke's having a very good start, with the two solo home runs as the only strikes against. Both performances were good enough to win most games.
It's the offense that is letting them down, though DeGrom and Syndergaard have been damned close to untouchable.
**** your asterisk.

Re: 2015 MLB Post Season Thread
I've played a lot of baseball (fastball) playing around the bag at 2B/SS, and never have I seen so many injuries on the base paths in my career, let alone in 1 week. Concussion, shredded calf muscle, ambulatory care for Tejada. I'm seriously confused.
Is anybody here a marine biologist?
