Well, we don’t have a stable of Hall of Fame bullpen options at our disposal. Sometimes you run with the girl that brought you.

I'd still take the pen over the Kikuchi that pitched the last 3 innings of that game today.

I’ll leave it at this. Kikuchi has become a very integral contributor on our pitching staff. We should start to trust him more.

If you ignore that Kikuchi was really bad in May and has allowed 17 HR on the season now in just two months. This was actually his only good start since May 7.

Sure. Good point.

He also pitched 5 innings, allowing only 2 runs, with a 2 run lead going into the 6th. If we are not ignoring stuff.

While also hanging sliders for several innings and allowing 100+ MPH flyballs to deep CF that would be HRs in most parks in the majors.

If I knew Cimber was gonna pitch with a lead as a result of pulling Kikuchi, I might have kept him in.

And Cimber throws a perfect pitch on the corner and doesn't get the call. Some strange umpiring this series.

So, tomorrow is Manoah, with a Mayza bridge to Romano.

Mets are not a good team. Good timing for us. 3 game sweep incoming. We needed this.

Forget about switching to the AL Central, the Jays need to petition to move to the NL East.

If Manoah struggles again, it may be best to send him down to AAA.

Normally I would agree but our AAA starting pitching is woeful. Thomas Hatch or Bowden Francis would probably be next up. Not ideal when we're fighting to stay in contention.

You just got to ride Manoah until Ryu is 100 percent healthy. That is like another month or so. If Manoah is still struggling when Ryu will be ready, then you send him down then and give Ryu his spot in the rotation.
