man, Belt is on fire. did we ever doubt him? lmao

2010-2015 Jose Bautista was pretty close.

If Belt actually starts hitting for some pop man. Also Bassitt is a dog unbelievable signing. Trading in Ray/Stripling for Bassitt and Gausman has saved us from being a basement team lmao

Bassett should quit the team if he’s lifted for Mayza in the 9th.

i appreciate the aggressiveness but when was the last time biggio pinch ran where he wasn't thrown out on the bases in some way?

IMO, Schnieder, the right to go with his closer here, but as far as I’m concerned, Bassitt earned the right if he wanted it, which he did. Sink or swim with Bassitt at this point.

How often do pitchers get to pitch a complete game in this day and age? Dude is at 80 pitches, has allowed 0 walks and only 4 hits. Schneider is a dumbass.

Agreed, there was no real reason to pull him. At least until Alvarez came up.

How about Romano?

Unnecessary but justifiable I suppose.

The bottom line is they were not hitting Bassitt at all. So why?

Rare time I agreed with the decision. Bassit had been through lineup 3 times. Top of the lineup coming up and they had some success in the 4th against him.

I'm mixed on the decision definitely not a suuuper cut and dry one. But we won so it's all moot I guess. Me personally I would've let Bassit go back out there.
