I was looking at Vlads baseball savant page and it just doesn't make any sense lmao

Top 5-10th percentile in hard hit%, xSlug, xWoba, Avg exit velo. His chase rate is bad and his walk rate is average. He's even fixed his launch angle problems. I have no idea what needs to change for him.

Why is Pearson pitching on back to back days in a 7-0 deficit

Posted in Rangers thread by mistake...

How does Martinez still have a job? Name one hitter that has become significantly better under his watch? Now how many have become worse?

This team doesn't have it. If they're still hanging around .500 come the deadline, they should consider retooling, if not an outright rebuild. The prospect capital just isn't there to add to this group, and I doubt there is room in the budget either. The farm is so bare, we can't let some of these vets walk for nothing in the futile hope of contending this year.

And I don't trust Shapiro or Atkins with a rebuild, so probably time for a new front office too.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

How a team this talented plays so poorly?

Shatkins spent over 210 millions on this roster and they still are mediocre wtf

I don't see how this team makes the playoffs. Baltimore and Houston (or Texas) are both locks for WC spots. The Angels seem to have figured their **** out too. The Yankees and Red Sox are the same tier of trash as us, but that just adds to the competition.

Time to sell on the short term rentals (KK, Belt) and retool for next year. This year the AL East is way too competitive and we can’t beat any of them. Look to retool for next year and pray Vlad finds his MVP form

Sometimes I imagine what teams like the Rays would look if they had a 212 millon dollar payroll like the Jays. Another pathetic game that was over quickly.

This reminds me of thexyear they signed dickey, Cabrera and traded for jose Reyes and eceryone called then world series favourites. They proceeded to **** the bed.

Biggest disappointment for me has been guerrero. Started off on fire just like lastseason, looked like he finally put it all together, and he's just been meh. Second has been manoah, who just imploded. Season sucks.
