Now you have a game tomorrow and probably cant use Romano for another 2 days because he threw 27 pitches today and 29 pitches on Friday.

I am at the game, and I had the same conversation with my cousin. Romano is only human. Fatigue definitely plays a factor at this time of the year. Swanson will be back tomorrow, so that will be help a lot.

The guy is a top 15 RP by WAR over the past 3 seasons. So unless there are people rating him as a top 5-10 RP, what the hell are you talking about?

He's a shaky reliever who is overrated.

He's 14th in MLB among RPs in WAR since the start of the 2021 season, right behind Raisel Iglesias. Try to make sense in the future if you're gonna post here.

Romano has the fewest number of innings pitched out of all relievers with 30+ saves. He's at 52 IP now; Emmanuel Clase by comparison is at 65.2 IP heading into today.

He's not "overworked" - this is kind of always the experience with him to some degree.

He's 12th among RPs in baseball since 2020 in WAR. There's a short list of like 5-10 guys in all of baseball who have been more consistent this entire decade than Romano.

You've got no clue. None whatsoever.

You have yet to explain how a borderline top 10 RP over the last decade is somehow overrated beyond just bizarrely repeating the claim over and over again without any substance.

Par for the course though for you.

Predict the Jays record the remaining 19 games against Texas and divisional rivals.. I am going to be optimistic and say 12-7

9-10 and probably lucky to do so. There are two series with the Rays in there.

I must say adding these extra wild card spots has been good for baseball. Gives more teams a chance to play for something and makes the last month of baseball more exciting.

How can stats be "wrong"? They're numbers. They're objective. They clearly show that Romano is an elite reliever.

Is he the best closer in baseball? No, but he's damn good.
