Vlad will be a lot better hitter in 2024, when he does not have Chapman hitting 1 or 2 spots behind him all year. Front office needs to acquire a solid power bat in the off-season (would not mind the return of Teoscar Hernandez at DH) to hit behind Vlad, to provide him the proper protection he needs.

This Texas bullpen is the worst thing in the league lol

Somehow 9-7 now.

Rangers bringing in a 6.26 ERA guy trying to hold a 1 run lead in a pennant race. That's where they are at.

Cannot believe that I would rather have the Royals bullpen right now over the Rangers (lol).

It doesn't matter if a guy has a 6.50 ERA or a 0.50 ERA, our lineup isn't hitting him. Let's hope this series signals a change and we're finally getting hot.

Conservative stop sign by Seattle there with 2 outs?

Now, that I see the replay he had no chance to score. Good hold and hope to get a hit against this farce of a bullpen.

A guy with a 4.50 ERA is now coming in to face Cal Raleigh. This is the end.

Ha the Romano arguments...... My take.

I am kind of annoyed by how many posters came down on Romano for his performance in game 2. The guy saves what 26 games in a row and some people seemed like they wanted to burn him in effigy. Then it is revealed he has a broken fingernail and some infer he is a wuss or something for not being able to pitch through it and get a save. I mean come on. First of all, who says a broken fingernail doesn't impact pitching? If so JS should have taken him out. That is what a manager is supposed to assess. The only thing you can blame Romano for is that he himself should have been open to being removed but maybe he tried to stay in to not let the team down. That is just how it is sometimes.

I do agree that despite the results, Romano is not a dominating closer as he does give up his fair share of hits per inning. He is very good IMO. I kind of see him just like Kevin Gausman who is called the ace of the staff but does have some flaws to his game. As to whether Romano is trustworthy in the big moment, we'll see. I do get some people wanting Hicks as closer due to FB velocity but who says he is trustworthy in big moments either? Romano, despite his non dominating pitches, seems to get the results he gets and therefore he is the guy going forward.

Nice, Texas. I know they wanted to lose it, but the Mariners wanted to lose it more.

Rangers get it done somehow. The only problem with that is that we're reaching the point where those Rangers/Mariners games may not matter at the end of the week now.

We need the Rangers to go back to sucking once they play the Angels tomorrow.

Going by the AL West's run differential and their record's those 3 teams are really underachieving.

I don't remember the last time I've seen an entire division choke this hard.
