Chapman can't be in this lineup the next 3 games. Davis and Ernie Clement are both better options.

Everyone in the building knew that was going to be a fastball too including Chapman. It didn't matter. He's atrocious and the team will continue to stand by him to their doom.

cy young candidate = perfect game alert
all-star starter = no no territory
average 3rd starter = twirls a gem, hands the ball off to the bullpen with the lead
AAAA spot starter = career night, gets the game ball for the final out authenticated and puts it on a mantle in his living room
journeyman scrub = 6 IP, 6 K's, 1 BB, 1 ER

Every man, woman and child in the ballpark saw the Chapman strikeout coming from a mile away.

Not John Schneider though. Chappy is his guy. We desperately need his defense at the most important infield position.

I thought for sure Chapman a month ago, would get over 100 million in free agency. I doubt that is still the case. Teams will not be that stupid to offer a large deal to a guy like Chapman, who is basically Paul DeJong 2.0 with Runners In Scoring Position. He is not even the exceptional defensive player he was at one time in Oakland. Cannot wait until he is gone.

John, I don't think you need Mattingly's advice to walk Judge with a base open.

Hopefully Schneider comes back from injury sooner than later so we don't have to watch another Chapman AB

Too bad Varsho wasn't hitting 8. He can hit absolutely garbage pitches right down the middle.

You can't strike out on that pitch, man. The runner has to be moved.

And that would be why you've gotta move the runner earlier in the inning, but this team is inept at situational hitting.
