Tell us again how enjoyable to watch this team has been this year (and this time make me believe it).

Need to start Manoah in game 1. Call him up and let him have a chance at redemption

I actually said this season has obviously been frustrating with how we've underperformed with RISP. That it wasn't as "fun" as last year. But yet here we are, on the doorstep of the playoffs. No easy feat which every jays fan should know.. One of the best pitching staffs in baseball and a solid bullpen which we've basically never had has me excited that who knows, maybe the offense can get it going enough that we might just surprise somebody. Maybe not. Maybe we'll be what we've been most of this season. Go back and re read and stop being so dramatic. How many posts after that have you made about how fun this season is? You're a complete and total buzz kill and constantly negative and depressing about everything Bluejays even if we win or do something good. Maybe you should find a new hobby to invest your time into.

Forgive me for not pretending the most exasperating Jays season in decades is sunshine and rainbows. Calling it "frustrating" would also be a tremendous understatement. As a viewing experience, it has been unmercifully and woefully terrible.

This is an offense that, for all its talent, has posted the worst OPS at home in franchise history and a franchise worst OPS with the bases loaded (including a .380 OPS at home). These are historically futile numbers. It also obviously doesn't help that the "franchise player" we've effectively hitched our wagon to in this era had a tremendous down year where he forgot how to hit a fastball or play defense at an even passable level (thereby throwing our future with this core into question).

Let's be honest about what is going on here. The Jays played mediocre baseball well below their talent level for nearly the entire season and got lucky that the Astros/Mariners completely collapsed in September. If those two teams didn't do what they did, we'd be having a completely different discussion right now about the Jays (and you'd no doubt be ripping into this team like everyone else).

Now you'll get no argument from me that anything can happen in the MLB playoffs, but going on a run would also require the Jays playing good baseball for an extended stretch. That is something they haven't come even close to doing this season.

Well it wouldn't be too much worse of a decision than calling him up for no reason mid-season after he got completely destroyed by Rookie ball hitters (and then attempting to demote him a month later after it unsurprisingly turned out he still sucked, which created a player/team divide unlikely to be overcome).

Biggio has really redeemed his season over the past few months.

This season has been painful to follow given the expectations, but there’s still a lot to be hopeful for. We have quite easily the best starting pitcher lineup in the league, one of the best BPs in the league, the best outfield defense in the league, all of which are a lot more reliable in the playoffs than hot offense. The 2015 Blue Jays were joyful to watch with that 2/3/4 death row, but it still flamed out due to poor pitching. I have a good feeling about this team, despite all the woes and frustration this team has caused me.

Exactly. This season was a bit disappointing, but we're still on the brink of 90 wins and a postseason birth. With one of the best rotations in the league and a very good bullpen, we'll have a chance to do something in October – especially if the bats come to life a bit.

Well that series went horribly, from getting like 6 hits in 2 games and no runs. To finally doing something that the fans can cheer about in game 3. Well Cy took us as far as we can, now some other sucka is going to have to get us to clinch the playoffs.
