Yeah...thats exactly what the Leafs fans wanted last year. Remember "we want Flordia!"?

Karma is very real. You never try to tank your way to specific opponents. Let the chips fall where they may.

Hell, just check the posts here from last year--many people here wanted to play the Mariners.

And that was going great, right up until John Schneider Schneidered us.

Doesn't guarantee anything but why wouldn't you take the weaker opponent?

Are they weaker though? Tampa is pretty banged up all over. Minnesota has one of the best pitching staffs in the league. At least we know what to expect from Tampa having played them 6 times in two weeks. Minnesota is going to be a huge unknown for our hitters. Foresee us barely able to score 2 runs a game against them with our feeble offense.

I was more so talking about your general stance on not facing a weaker opponent if you can control it.

But also, yea there's nothing about our history with the Rays that would inspire me to face them.

If the Astros and Rangers end up tied, will our game result determine who win the AL West.

That would be a pretty weird tiebreaker.

We must accept there is simply no good matchup with this manager of ours.

For sure. “Better” doesn’t really mean “good”.

I don't believe in Karma. No reason to try hard to win this regardless of tampa or minny lol what happens if you try and win and someone gets hurt? Rather just not and have a healthy as possible roster.

A rested Gausman against the Twinkies. I’m good with it.

Twins took us out when we were the better team before. Only polite to return the favour.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

Rays trying to out tank us, knew they’d make a go at it.
