1st page real estate

Hoping Gausman goes the distance and not let Schneider have the chance to take him out for Mayza again

Can the Blue Jays hitters finally give Gausman more then 0 runs per game support on Tuesday? Stay tuned!

What is everyone's level of concern with Schneider pulling our starters early (5th inning), when they haven't allowed a run yet, in order to play the matchup game with Mayza, Cabrera, Kikuchi against the many left handed batters of the Twins?

Mine is on panic levels of concern given Schneiders track record for trying too hard to micromanage games using analytics only and not going by what is actually transpiring in the game.

I think I'm more concerned about him pulling someone to put Yimi in with 2 runners on.

I am stupidly optimistic that we win the WC series vs the Twins - 2-0.

So, Gausman and Bassitt for games 1 and 2, yeah?

Keep both Berrios and Kikuchi on the roster, and use one of them for a game 3, depending on if Yusei is needed in long relief in one of the first two games?

Twins are much, much worse against LHP (and Bassitt/Berrios have massive splits, particularly Bassitt). Kikuchi needs to be starting game 2, even if it's on a very short leash.

I'm not throwing Kikuchi out there with no playoff experience. Bassitt has been there before. I'm going with Bassitt for game 2 and Berrios in game 3.

The more i hear about Lopez and Gray, the more im feeling nervous. I dont care how bad the Twins division was, or how many wins and losses the twins have compared to us, all they need to do is win 2 games. And when they are throwing two of the best pitchers in baseball at you, its much more likely we get shutout two games in a row ala King and Cole than we are breaking out offensively. Think people are too confident coming into this series given our record against top shelf pitching.

All that talk about the twins losing 18 playoff games in a row and being worse than the jays and playing in a worse division is completely and utterly meaningless in a 3 game series where we face two Aces in a row.

Prepare to watch both of them get crushed by a ton of LHBs then.

Kikuchi is the clear better option against this team and I would expect the Jays to start him.

Another reason i think we're getting swept. Gausman and Bassitt had great seasons, but they've also been destroyed by left handed batters all year as well. If they give up even 2 runs each, we're losing this series convincingly because i dont see our offense doing anything against Lopez and Gray.

Must see series. Watch as two playoff winless streaks collide for winless supremacy

I wouldn't be shocked if we scored less than 2 runs for the entire series, let alone in one game.

Its just so hard to suddenly flip the switch and start believing that this offense will magically be different in the playoffs, especially with that King and Cole debacle still so fresh in our minds.
