Honestly would've gone white there if it was Mayza vs righties lol but White sucks too so probably should've won it with the winning run 90 feet away 5 mins ago.

Maybe they'll play Davis the next game and give themselves a major league caliber lineup. I doubt it though.

Mayza has looked bad against everyone this year too. Worst he's looked as a Jay I think.

To start the 10th, Why not walk the power Hitter to setup the double play?

Mayza is having enough trouble throwing strikes this year without putting baserunners on willingly for the other team.

Is that the same batter Pearson unintentionally intentionally walked? Mayza throws him a meatball.

lol Mitch White

First game they've very clearly lost due to not having Romano and Swanson

Mayza hasn't been looking right all season long.

Velo down, no command, movement isn't the same. They'll probably give him another month to get right, but he might be cooked.

Ranger One wrote:Guess we should have scored there in the 9th huh? What a complete waste of masterful performances from Kikuchi and Garcia. Pathetic at bats all day long. And allowing KK to continually start games despite being the worst hitter in all of baseball has cost this team at least 2 games.

Kirk, Varsho, and KK were absolute trash out there hitting a combined 1 for 11 in the bottom of the order, and have been terrible all year. When Jansen is back, Fat Kirk needs to be relegated to the bench more often than not.

This team also cannot afford to have both KK and Varsho together in the lineup. When one plays, the other has to sit. I would be fine with KK sitting more, with Davis Schneider in LF and Varsho in CF. You just cannot throw away good performances from Kikuchi and Garcia like this.

Bottom 5 in the order were horrendous, and the fact that Gilbert actually has reversed splits and does better against LHB and the Jays still decided to play both Varsho and Kiermaier instead of Davis is all you need to know about John Schneider/the analytics team/whoever makes those decisions.

Using Davis Schneider as a pinch runner is just so mind numbingly stupid. We have Kirk, Varsho, KK, IKF, and Biggio on the team, and we use arguably our second best HR hitter on the team to pinch run?

John Schneider is negging (negatively using) Davis Schneider because he's afraid of the appearance of nepotism
