Guess we should have scored there in the 9th huh? What a complete waste of masterful performances from Kikuchi and Garcia. Pathetic at bats all day long. And allowing KK to continually start games despite being the worst hitter in all of baseball has cost this team at least 2 games.

Kirk, Varsho, and KK were absolute trash out there hitting a combined 1 for 11 in the bottom of the order, and have been terrible all year. When Jansen is back, Fat Kirk needs to be relegated to the bench more often than not.

This team also cannot afford to have both KK and Varsho together in the lineup. When one plays, the other has to sit. I would be fine with KK sitting more, with Davis Schneider in LF and Varsho in CF. You just cannot throw away good performances from Kikuchi and Garcia like this.

Bottom 5 in the order were horrendous, and the fact that Gilbert actually has reversed splits and does better against LHB and the Jays still decided to play both Varsho and Kiermaier instead of Davis is all you need to know about John Schneider/the analytics team/whoever makes those decisions.
