Nats (38-37) at ChiSox (37-39)

Post#1 » by Jollay » Fri Jun 24, 2011 7:14 pm

The rudderless ship heads to Chicago to face the White Sox. JZ versus Edwin Jackson tonight--so there should be some strikeouts.

To say nothing of the AL leader in strikeouts, Mr. Adam Dunn (.175, 7HRs).

IS THIS THE TIME FOR MATT STAIRS TO SHINE????
(or is Riggleman's promise he will DH null and void)

This game will never end. Storen and Clippard, two of our shutout guys have blown a save.

I can't believe I stayed up to watch the entire freaking game.

I'm exhausted. And probably need therapy.

:nonono:

P.S. - to the both of you'all (Jollay and Rafael). Matt Stairs - GTF off of my team.

Yeah I stayed up until 1:30 am as well to watch it. I figured screw it, I watched them blow the lead twice, might as well watch it until the end.

Boy, look at this series.

Between Werth for us and Dunn for them, that's a whole lot of millions of dollars worth of disappointment.

Yep, but look on the bright side, it's an absolute joy to watch Danny Espinosa play.

The Washington Post story about today's game, the last one for acting Manager John McLaren, has a some insight into a guy whose loyalty is something that's rare in today's world. Also a third party (McLaren's) insight into Riggleman's frustration with his contract situation.

------------------

That being said, great win today.

And now, let me pull out my secret Ji-like weapon.

-- I note that the Nats are only 3.5 games out of the wild card. In late June.

Nice.

Makes you wonder if they will make a move if they're still in it, arguably they need another bullpen arm and maybe a third basemen or left fielder. I don't know, it's fun to talk about though because usually they wouldn't have 40 wins until late July-early August.

I'm gonna invite Ji to this board to start the wild card countdown.

That'll surely cause a Nats tailspin. LOL - that dude, Ji, is the most jinxed person in all of mankind.

Cute little kittens die every time Jayson Werth comes to bat.

On a side note, wow Adam Dunn is some straight poo so far this season. Danny Espinosa, ROY and All Star baby!
