Langerhans traded to DC for Snelling
Acquired on Monday, former Brave returns to NL East

Trader Jim made a straight up swap of Chris for Ryan Langerhans. When considered in a vacuum Ryan is a decent player, he can play all three outfield positions, he can work a walk, and at his best he has doubles power. But he's already two years older than Chris and really doesn't have any upside. This move might make some sense if the Nationals aren't comfortable with Ryan Church in center field full time but I'm not sure where this is supposed to take us.

This is the first trade in about a year that I haven't liked right out of the gate, I just don't see what we're achieving here.

Terrible.

Maybe if we had a shot to win now but we all know we're going nowhere. Keep the young talent and let them grow, don't go for the "quick fix."
