It seems Cousins says Embiid should be the MVP over Jokic ...
... because ... drumroll please ... Embiid's defense is better.
1. How many times have announcers and coaches and players and reports said, "Great offense beats great defense"?
Does anybody believe Embiid can stop Jokic?
Truth: against each other, their stats for both are close to their averages, but mostly slightly down
2. How valuable is a player when he's on the bench? Jokic plays somewhere around 15-20 more games per year than Embiid.
Without Jokic, the Nuggets win around 40%
Without Embiid, the 76ers win around 45% - and that's quite a few games each year
It sure seems to me that neither player affects the other player much.
It sure seems to me that Jokic is more valuable to his team.

Sour Grapes there, maybe ??
Cousins sounds like he's trying to stir the pot to regain some relevance while perhaps throwing some shade Jokic's way.

Re: Cousins on MVP
Cousins did something to not be invited back. He obviously took it personal and is now trying to cause issues. I am more interested in what really happened than I am his dumbass comments.
