I can't be the only one smiling about the Knicks unable to attract good players in free agency.

While the possibility of swapping to get a top 5 pick is cool, seeing the Knicks struggle again is just as enjoyable to me !

All my friends are Knicks fans so I just totally act like a **** around them because of that pick swap and free agency (not to mention that draft pick)

Arthur was a serviceable player but why the hell would we resign him? The team can't head in a new direction if we're playing all the same damn players next year.

I'd rather have the roster spot than Arthur, he has hit his ceiling

Re: 2015 Free Agency
The only reason to bring Arthur back is if they are trading one of the bigs, otherwise it makes no sense to go out and sign a 6th big if the plan is to have Gallo and/or Chandler playing more 4 next year.

Maybe, but can't see more than a 2-yr deal, he doesn't appear to be a part of the future of this team. DET is said to have shown interest, but that was prior to their big trade. DA does seem like he could be a Malone type defender.

Looks like the cap is going up to $70M, that should help us a bit with Barton, Arthur and Nelson.....

Floor is 63...I read Denver and Orlando were the only 2 teams to finish under the floor last year.

Makes the sting of burning a future #1 to get rid of McGee (who would now be an expiring deal) a little stronger.

Re: 2015 Free Agency
That deal really seems awful. Could we have used the stretch provision on him?
