Henry Ellenson would be tough to pass up here but we REALLY need a shooter so my vote would be for Furkan

Ellenson can really shoot too, could become our stretch 4 to open up the interior for Mudiay/Jurkic/Nurkic. I'm not sold on Korkmaz because he's young and only weighs 175lbs (listed)

I think we would have to go with ellenson if he's available. I really like korkmaz but we already added a guard (theoretically) in Dunn, and ellenson is the last big who excites me. We could gamble on a two guard such as Malachi Richardson with the 19th pick.

Korkmaz, B.Johnson, D.Murray all are acceptable, but I voted for Ellenson.

Popped over to see who you'd pick. Neither Dunn nor Ellenson are great fits/need picks but to be able to get both those guys is amazing value based on your draft slots. It's a nice scenario for you.

The nice thing about being the Nuggets right now is they do not actually have a strong specific need because they are still building. I'd see in 2017 or 2018, they should probably be trading off assets to start matching needs. Right now, Dunn & Ellenson make good options towards development. Time will determine which of the Nuggets assets will be kept. But that's just my opinion.

I'd agree about the value of both, but I think Ellenson can help out the Nuggets as a stretch-4, especially with his shooting ability. I do question his foot-speed and athleticism, but who doesn't ?? As for Dunn, I could see him being traded, perhaps to the 76ers.

I'd disagree a bit, we might not need one piece to make a run but we still really NEED shooting. In this scenario I'd take Korkmaz

Not sure we actually disagree here: I voted Korkmaz (and btw, I did NOT vote Dunn) - but Ellenson can shoot outside and Dunn isn't too bad either. Totally agree that we need shooting, but the truth is we need an athletic stretch-4 but Gallinari & Chandler can help fill that if needed. We need a young 3-n-D SF but no hurry because we have Gallinari & Chandler there and two more firsts next year plus one more in this mock draft. We could use another 3-n-D SG but while Dunn is more of a PG, he could help there and Malone likes to play two PGs. We could use a backup PG that can shoot 3s and play D. There's an emphasis there on 3-n-D in my book with possible openings every where except center. A young PF like Ellenson could start early or middle of the year. A young SF might be a backup until Gallinari or Chandler are injured or traded, maybe even longer. A young SG is going to have a battle with Harris & Barton to get minutes. A young PG is going to have a battle with Mudiay for minutes. So like I said originally, "The nice thing about being the Nuggets right now is they do not actually have a strong specific need because they are still building. " With that said, we are in total agreement - we need SHOOTING. I just didn't bring out that point.

Henry Ellenson by a nose. Thanks for playing and good luck again.

Watching some Ellenson highlights, he reminds me a of a bigger Dan Issel

Not with #15 and at least for me, not with #19 - but he might be worth the gamble at #19, so who knows.

Return to Denver Nuggets
