I can see us beating OKC or MIN in a potential Game 7 on the road, and Boston is out of the race, so these last games should be used to rest starters and track Pelicans' position.

I see your point but I am not afraid of the LAL team at all, we've beaten them last 8 games in a row.

2 games left, and Denver is now in full control of the #1 seed. Despite both games being on the road, both opponents are WC bottom-3 teams.

In the last second of the previous game vs Spurs underdogs, the Nuggets dropped from #1 to #3 seed. Current WC standings and seeds:

The Nuggets finished the regular season tied for the most wins in franchise history.

Not too bad!

But still, there is a bitter taste because of that rotten final quarter vs Spurs where we wasted a +17 lead that cost us the WC#1 seed which Denver reached only once in franchise history (last year), so we will face in the 1st round 2020 champions and 2024 WC finalists LBJ-AD Lakers instead Zion-less Pells (and no HCA in eventual WC final vs OKC).

Kinda agree here, it would have been a really nice accolade to have that 1 more win to reach our franchise record, as well as the #1 seed, but at that point in the season I was just ready to get on with the playoffs. As for playing the 2020 Champions (refs/Silver made that one happen IMO, shoulda been our 1st right there) and 2024 WC finalist (they had an easy path and validated that by getting swept), should be a more formidible task, but only injuries can take us off the path to the 2nd round.
