Say what you will about Panda and his girth, but he was that size last year and moved like a cat at third. The extra weight probably doesn't signify good things for his future, but I think he's going to be great this year.

i thought he had a problem charging bunts or little choppers up along third but was better everywhere else.

Between Panda and David Ortiz, Boston area buffets may go out of business.
Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Moncada to the Sawx.

At least it wasn't the Dodgers.

I kind of wished he would have gone to the Yankees to get that rivalry heated up again.

I feel comfortable saying that if we got outbid (I'm not sure if we did, but we did seem interested), we probably let that happen for a reason.

I trust our FO.

Red Sox Deportes strikes again.

I get their offense was trash last year but you cant forget about the rotation. Masterson just put up a nearly 6 ERA in a contract year, Buchholz is an inconsistent bum, Miley struggled in the NL last year and coming over the the AL East is tough. I think Joe Kelly could have a good year as well as Porcello but they still dont have an ace and arguably dont have a 2 either, although you could argue Porcello can fill that role.

Freaking Red Sox. The one place I did not want him to sign. Sucks to say, but I hope he fails now.

I know it's a little late, but I love the new pace of play rules. The idea that a pitch will be thrown as soon as the commercial breaks ends is extremely exciting for someone who watched 150+ games a season.

This means Sawx/Yanks games may last less than 14 hours this season.

Same here. I hope they really enforce the rule about guys in the batters box too. I love Denard Span but I get so annoyed at him(and many others like him) taking five minutes between pitches adjusting his gloves and all that nonsense.

Manfred is also open to a 154 game season.

"where's my ring?"
Bryce Harper.

this is the typical stuff that pisses off baseball purist.
I lol'd and enjoyed it.

he's not the guy that can lead the charge here…someone else…but not him.

wait…he's not on a team where any of them can lead the charge.

just leave it to someone else.

The thing that bothers me the most about Ortiz's comments is that he thinks batters are being targeted specifically with all these rule changes. It makes me think that he's never paid attention while guys like Josh Beckett, or David Price, or Andy Pettitte, pitched.

I'm also fairly certain that both Nomar and Jeet would have racked up thousands in fines had this rule been established in their careers.

I love it. Love Harps.

Now we just gotta go out and get it. No excuses this year.
