I take my comments back. There is no Jordan/Gretzky in the Major Leagues unless you want to count Bonds a few years back. Like the NBA today, there are really great dominate players, but no one near the Jordan/Gretzky group.

Actually technically Michael Jordan did play baseball so he is baseball's Jordan I guess.

Yeah, I think it has to be the Babe. 80 years later and people still talk about him as the best.

In recent time though, for me, it has to be Jr Griffey. Living in Seattle he was the best/biggest name athlete of his time. I had his shoes, jerseys, posters... I had it all.

definitely used to be Jeter back when the yankees were winning the World Series, but now, there hasn't really been anyone to step up to the plate

I would say Ken Griffey Jr. is the logical choice because he has build-up before becoming professional and was trancendent in his game.
