This just in from espn a few minutes ago. It was no surprise that Ohtani wouldn't go back to the Angels. Since he said he wants to win. He can do that with the dodgers. Hopefully he can be the 1st player who actually fulfills the worthiness of a 10 year contract in baseball. 10 year contracts in baseball never ends well.

When I saw this, I knew:

Read on Twitter

Like Lakers, Dodgers only go for the best of the best. Their next door neighbor is Hollywood, the entertainment capital of the world. A-list celebrities and sports superstars go hand and hand; this is why second place doesn't cut it here in Los Angeles.

Angels are gonna be kicking themselves hard over the loss of Ohtani, what they should have done instead of what they did. All Angels cared about was wanting to be loved, respected and worshiped, having lost their edge after their lone World Series win in 2002. Maybe they need to get Disney back, because in an ironic twist of ridicule, that title was won while under the ownership of Mickey Mouse. So for those who ridiculed the Laker's championship as a Mickey Mouse ring, think again.

As for Ohtani, the sky's the limit. Wouldn't call it a defection, more like a promotion.

Always was the most likely scenario, he gets to live in same city and plays on stacked team.

Especially for a 29 year old pitcher. This will be a disaster the last 5 years (if they are lucky). Did they have competition at $600? Seems like the dodgers just wanted to pull out their hog, and just plop it on the table for effect.
