The thing I can't hate about doug is this. Even if Phelps started, Doug would have come in with Farnsworth as a defensive replacement. So he would still get into a force in the 8th and he would have popped out here. -Jitpal

yeah there is so much room in foul territory, its so dumb. they have a lot of room in foul territory in minnny, too

I think it was bad managing by Joe to give Meyers that 1/3rd of an inning. Especially because it was a tie game in the 8th. He should have saved him. We can use the arms now. Vizcaino could have gotten one more out. -Jitpal
