Big difference in stats, much lower pass completion percentage, from over 70% to under 52% and from over 310 yards per game vs. under 180 yards passing per game.

But out of 30 games, he’s only played top 25 teams only 5 times? That seems really low.

Both Pac 12 and Big 12 were terrible when he played there, his teams always had superior talent. You gotta take any quarterback's stats coming from pac 12 and big 12 with a grain of salt.

I still think Caleb has the tools to be great but yeah it is concerning how his play dips when he plays outside of his comfort zone.

I stand by my comp of Patrick Mahomes but with better wheels. He is going to instantly become a top 10 QB in this league and has the potential of being being second to Mahomes. If he doesn't end up as an elite QB you can ban me from these forums

Then you better hope he goes to a team with a solid offensive mind. If he goes to Bears with the current staff, he'll quit football before his rookie contract ends lol

Denver has a 1st this year. So they're in the Caleb sweepstakes.

They gave New Orleans their 2nd. Seattle has their 3rd rounder.

So both Caleb and Maye wont be in the playoffs so they'll have plenty of time for politicking

Maye officially #1 QB for me now. I’ve seen enough.

Maye didn’t look particularly impressive today. His accuracy was definitely lacking.

He jumped the gun lol. This is why it's never a good idea to judge a guy off of one game.

Haha not jumping the gun off of one game. Maye didn’t have a good game, but neither did Caleb. The complete lack of willingness to play within structure for Caleb is my only knock on him. I think Maye is another Herbert. I just think he is the safer bet.

Guys USC has 0 running game and a crappy offensive line. This team blows. Without Caleb they’re sub 500 and one of the worst teams in the pac

If the Vikings don’t get Caleb or Maye, I hope they trade down and get DeJean and move him to safety to replace Harry. That kid is so damn electric.

I'm not comparing him in anyway to Sean Taylor but he moves like Sean Taylor did on the field...that's who he reminds me of. But I'm not comparing them at all!!!

I’m seeing Jason Sehorn vibes…

But in all seriousness, dude is a strong 6’1 and very explosive and he is a very smart player. I think he’s going to be a stud safety at the next level.

He's not as tall as you would want for a pocket passer.

He threw side arm or 3/4 a few times and had a couple of batted balls.

He has velocity and accuracy when a WR breaks open but is he leading them before the break or waiting until they separate to throw it?

When he's able to extend plays, he's looking to hit already-open WRs.

Report is that Nola was given the choice of the 1st Denver had last year (I think it was originally the 9ers pick?) or Denver's 2024 1st. They went with the former, but probably should've gone with the latter

I mean, I get why they wanted a 1st last year, cause they traded theirs away for Olave, but still. It was a solid gamble that the Broncos this year would have a better pick than 29th overall.

Oh, yeah. Caleb Williams... he good.

Shout out to C.J. Stroud. Every now and then I get something right.

I'm startled to see all of the activity here, so you'll have to excuse me.

Please resume.

I was totally wrong about CJ Stroud. Kid is a stud QB. I totally expected him to follow in the long line of QB busts out of Ohio St.

Considering both are projected as the top two QB’s what are the chances both (or either) just decide to **** it down and start preparing for the draft? Neither will benefit themselves by playing more and only risk injury.

It would give players bad reputation if they quit middle of the season. They'll probably try to win their conference but likely skip the bowl season.

skipping bowl games is becoming common place, but skipping half a season would be a bad look
