It’s weird seeing how drastically different he is between broadcasts. He’s so much more reserved with Al.
The dude is like a kid in a candy store calling college football. Especially during college gameday. Dude was so pumped up during the kick up in Washington last week during gameday. Then gets to here and super reserved.Spoiler:
He is married with little kids…let’s hope that’s not the case

I like him also but he's a totally different announcer. He has no passion for the NFL. Like Duke said - after the Washington game he was even saying how much better CFB is...like he was borderline trashing the NFL.
He's not trashing the NFL. Come on. He does a great job imho. Your being too dramatic. Course I'm not a rah, rah guy anyway.
He was absolutely low key trashing the NFL after the Washington game on Saturday. It’s clear to me he doesn’t like the NFL
The atmosphere at a college game >>>> your standard NFL game. I don't blame him.

I completely agree but the NFL product is far superior. Although this has been a fun CFB season for once.

I do wonder how much of it is him calling NFL vs College and he is known as THE college guy and is just more comfortable with college. Then throw in its Prime Time NFL. Also a legend like Al who is older and not that energetic. So he might feel like he is trying to play off of Al.

It’s just been a horrible pairing. They have no chemistry. They need to shut this down and start over. I love Al Michaels but he’s too old. He’s falling asleep at halftime.
I’d like to see Noah Eagle take over Thursday nights and see what happens

The NFL certainly has more parity. But a good game with two top programs can be hard to beat. Especially when you take into account the atmosphere at some of these games with upwards of 80-100K fans.

Would you rather watch a college football PO game or an NFL PO game (say conference championship)

The atmosphere at the UW/Oregon game on Saturday, was better than any Hawks game that I've attended. It's not like that every Saturday. But games like that one are hard to beat.
College definitely.

Yup.
I've gone to several college Bowl games. Including the Rose Bowl & Fiesta Bowl. A College Bowl game is quite a show.
