Maybe?

Lol that **** never gets old. He dumped her right before his first big contract. There we're also rumors that she was cheating on him. Then within a year, Ciara came into the picture.

She totally thought she had secured the bag and was set for life. Lol!

From what I remember you’re right she did cheat on him and that is why he divorced her. She rumor was that she cheated on him with Golden Tate who was a WR with the Seahawks.

The Tate rumor was bogus.

One of the pundits on ESPN were saying Wilson would have a market.

For one thing, most of the money owed him next season would be paid by Denver. So teams who'd sign him would pay minimal salary to him, which would get offset from the Denver obligation.

They were talking like Pittsburgh, New England, etc.

He could have renaissance season like Mayfield this year.

Some teams which think they'd be competitive in the playoffs if they had competent quarterbacking.

Hmmm ...

I think most teams would still put him in 15-20th range, getting a mid level quarterback for 1.2million is great as long as rest of your team is built to compete. Maybe Dallas can benefit, lose little bit of strength at qb but use the extra 60 million in cap space to get a great runningback, another good pass rusher, shore up offensive line and linebackers.

Not gonna cry for someone who gets paid a lot of money for underperforming but there has to be a less toxic way to treat your qb rather than bullying him into changing his contract with threats of benching. I bet NFLPA changes these situations soon, happened couple times already since last year.

Fwiw PFF has him ranked as the 17th out of a total of 40 QB's that qualify this season. So, 15-20 range is fairly accurate.

Is he worth what he's getting paid? Absolutely not. But I'm sure a handful of teams or more won't mind paying him close to the minimum next year.

Yeah, if Russ wasn't so cringe I would have more sympathy. Broncos ownership running the team like a Walmart.

You guys sure screwed over the Broncos in that trade. It will take Denver a long time to recover from this one.

His extension that he signed in 2022, hasn't even kicked in yet. That's the insane part.

Good money for a QB that has only one playoff win in the last 7 years. He might be worse than Dak and Dak is bad.

Dak is far better.

Russ always had certain limitations in his game. But his play has fallen off a cliff the last three years.

He really wasn’t terrible last season, at the very least , much better than the year before.

He was better last year. But his play has taken a dip really the last few years.

He peaked & was a borderline top 5 QB from 2017-2019. But he really struggled down the stretch during the Covid year. That trend continued his last season in Seattle. His play was subpar for the most part. You take the last two years in Denver, and his overall play hasn't been very good for quite a while. He's been below league average during that time.

Funny how things turn out sometimes. Both Pete Carroll and Russell Wilson are currently unemployed. Do you think their ego's got in the way?

Many of the sports programs in my neck of the woods are saying this is the biggest heist since Jimmy Johnson and the Cowboys screwed over the Vikings in the Hershal Walker deal. I have to admit, the Broncos got the short end of the stick on this one. This one is worse.

He does have a ring though and if not for a horrible call by his coach would have 2 rings. The only ring Dak has is around his bathtub.

I hate that narrative. If Wilson just throws an incompletion, they hand the ball to Lynch on 3rd down and nobody thinks anything of it.
They only had one timeout left, either 2nd or 3rd down had to be a pass. Passing on 2nd down was the less predictable sequence.

That’s true too however when you have the best short yardage RB in the NFL and you’re at the 1. It’s not rocket science. There are a ton of things that could go wrong by throwing the ball in that scenario. Don’t get cute just give the ball to beast mode. Instead you call a pass and well we all saw what happened.
