That really sucks, and even more so cause the guy's good he's just inexperienced. So he's missing a lot of crucial development time. He's also gotten a minor injury in basically every game they played, so you gotta wonder if he's gonna be injury prone going forward

The bad news is, in all 3 of their wins this year, Minshew either started or played significant snaps in relief of AR. The good news is, Minshew was also crucial in engineering our 1-15 season where we lost the last 15 games (after beating the Colts lol) to get TLaw, so it's entirely possible the Colts lose enough to be in position to get Marvin Harrison Jr., which would just be a good story.
BaF Lakers:

Darius Garland/Cory Joseph
Klay Thompson/Shaedon Sharpe
Keldon Johnson/De'Andre Hunter
Evan Mobley/Tari Eason
Nic Claxton/Draymond Green

Bench: Leonard Miller, Jett Howard, Markquis Nowell, Kennedy Chandler, Day'Ron Sharpe

Didn't watch any Colts games but from the highlights, it seemed like he looked to run a lot.

Understandable because of his size and athleticism. But big QBs like Cam Newton got beat down, though he was in the league long enough to win the MVP.

They should be coaching him to throw the ball away or run out of bounds if he can. Or slide.

Otherwise, don't break the pocket.

Meh, I think Addison was more of a pick that just landed in his lap. Everyone knew the Vikings were looking for WR and Addison was the last WR left after that WR run in the 1st.

I will give him more credit with the Mekhi Blackmon pick. He is starting to see more and more snaps and he has been looking pretty legit.

Blackmon, Roy, Ivan Pace, and we will see what we have in Hall. Id say all of those guys are looking like solid-good picks for day 3 (and UDFA). Definitely looking much better than his 2022 blunder of a draft.

Still need Tyree Wilson to step up & unlock his hidden potential.

I am fervently hoping & praying it happens sooner rather than later.

It’s not even half way through their rookie seasons.

But the trends are not good for Bryce while they’re way up for Stroud.

Bryce threw two pick 6s today. 24-39 for 173 yards.

Stroud, 5 TDS and 475 yards including game winner in closing seconds of game.

Bryce doesn’t have WRs, only Thelen, well past his prime.

But Stroud, I don’t recognize the Texans WRs except TE Dalton Schulz.

I haven’t watched Panthers or Texans so I don’t know their OLs.

We also can’t see which passes either QBs are making in tHe pocket and on time vs. making plays outside the pocket.

But wow, the #1 pick vs the #7 pick.

The other numerical difference, 5-10 vs. 6-3.

Young can improve his accuracy and decision making, that's not the main problem. Big problem is he has an average arm and his frame is not built to play in NFL. Doesnt mean he cant be a servicable quarterback eventually but servicable is not what you are looking for with the first pick, especially when you gave up so much to get him.

Also he is unlucky that he was picked before a generational player and perhaps the best rookie quarterback ever. Unfair or not their careers will be compared rest of the way.

I guess we're just loosely throwing around the word "generational" lol. Stroud is a good QB. The best that Ohio State has put out recently. Having said that, I still think Richardson has a higher ceiling & will be viewed as the better player in the long-run.

Young's biggest hurdle is his size. But people are writing him off way too soon.

Is Marvin Harrison Jr the best non QB in this draft? Heard a few shows say he's the best pure talent in the draft. If Chicago gets #1 & #2 overall they should take Caleb Williams and Marvin Harrison Jr. I don't buy the Thursday Night Football panel saying they should move their second first round pick for more picks.

I dont think there is any doubt that Marv is a generational prospect and the best football player in this draft period. Doesnt really have any weaknesses, barring injuries he'll be in the class of Calvin Johnson, Julio etc.

For me only issue is position scarcity. Nothing like Harrison but you can find solid, productive receivers every round nowadays. So in terms of team building, for a team like Bears instead of going for the A+ receiver, grabbing B+ receivers later on and filling more holes in your team by trading your high picks might be more productive.

Although pairing Caleb Williams with MHJ certainly sounds irresistable.

It won't/can't happen, but I wouldn't mind seeing a Stroud/Harrison Jr. duo on the Texans for years to come.

I know I'm a dreamer...but I'm not the only one!
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Yeah if the Bears pull that off they still have Moore, Williams would have two great targets out there.

Is MHJ's father involved in his career?

Hasn't he had an interesting life after his NFL career?

Fathers of some high picks have inserted themselves into the process.

Caleb's father has already.

Here in SoCal those particular years, we had 3 top QBs from the area who dominated the HS football scene. Bryce Young from Mater Dei. Stroud from Rancho Cucamonga. And DJ Uiagalelei from Bosco. Throw in JT Daniels who played at Georgia.
And DJ was regarded by many as the top prospect. However from what I saw, it's lining up correctly. Stroud was always the most accurate and poised out of the 3, despite having lowered success vs the others

How on earth did Bryce Young get picked in the first two rounds, let alone #1, and even worse had a team trade up a ransom to get him?

I've seen nothing good about him. Not his arm, not his legs, not his escapability, not his accuracy, not his clutch play. It's just been below average across the board.

I wonder if Carolina tries their hand at another QB this offseason so not to have another season ruined.
