Yeah, these rankings are terrible lol.

The Chargers & Hawks made the two best hires this coaching cycle.

The Raiders really had no choice but to bring Pierce back. Otherwise, the players might have revolted. I think it's an okay hire. Not great by any means. They certainly could have gone the young coordinator route instead.

Quinn is probably the best of a bad situation for Washington. BB is too old to hire for a team that's rebuilding. Vrabel might have made more sense. But I'm not sure they had a ton of choices.

Raheem Morris is a culture hire. But still a fairly underwhelming one at that.

Canales is a really good coach & a great guy. It's just unfortunate that Carolina is the most undesirable of all the jobs. He should've passed on the job.

I don't know much about the Titans hire to really have a strong opinion.

Jerod Mayo might be the most underwhelming of the bunch.

Unless you think Dallas is a lock for a NFCCG appearance . Vrabel sounds like he’s taking a year off . Rivera wouldn’t be a bad hire . Not sure about Zimmer .

The problem with being the DC in Dallas is that MM is a lame duck HC and coaches don’t like getting into those situations where you’re working for a lame duck HC. Is there a chance that the next DC could be the next HC sure, buts there is probably a greater chance that you’re just looking for a new job next season.

Working under a lame duck coach means the chances of you being unemployed in a year or two are fairly high. I'm not sure it's all that desirable.

Yea that’s why I don’t think they are going to get anyone of significance to be their DC. To me Zimmer makes the most sense. He’s been out of coaching for a couple of seasons and Jerry is comfortable with him.

Every team other than the Chargers NOT hiring Vrabel is a FAIL. NOT his fault the FO traded away their only playmaking receiver in AJ. Still Titans players plays hard for Vrabel!

I like Vrabel. His teams are tough & play hard.

But the thing with Vrabel is that the coordinator hires are very important. He doesn't call plays. It's also why these young OC's are such a hot commodity nowadays. Teams want continuity. They don't want to have to worry about their coordinators being promoted & leaving every year.

Kingsbury seems like a decent enough guy from the Cardinals Hard Knocks.

But his rep is based on having a very talented QB in college and then drafting him #1 in the draft.

With the Raiders QB situation unsettled, is he going to be that effective? He will have to develop but will he push for 2-way QB prospect mainly to run his offense?

I don’t think Kyler ever was under center when Cliffsbury was HC there.

Which NFL team has won big with these college offenses?

Maybe when Foles won the SB for Eagles that year with the RPO?

But Pederson is still a WCO guy isn’t he?

Quinn call plays but they are defensive plays only being a DC like most of these hires and shouldn't be calling offensive plays anyways unless they want to treat it like us playing Madden cause its so fun. Just let the OC call plays for all these new hires imho.

If I was an OC, I much rather call plays under Vrabel than Quinn. Why? Verbal is a players coach who was a leader like Mayo was for the Pats. Has Quinn ever play football even pee wee level? I have a hard time playing for anyone who never played the game but that's me.

I'm still shocked Vrabel wasn't hired....bunch of losers!

He coached Mahomes in college, never Kyler Muray.

Ok, but he didn't draft him either.

Solid hire.

Macdonald is calling the defense. So, Frazier will likely be a glorified assistant DC.

The rumor is that Ryan Grubb (UW/Alabama OC) is the favorite to get the OC job. Which would be an excellent hire.

Sounds like kliff found the commanders job more appealing which makes sense

They have the #2 overall pick and will likely take a QB. Better that than whatever the raiders have at QB.
