They finally fired their longtime general manager Rick Spielman last year. Hired a young up & coming guy to run the show. A good start. But they have somewhat plateaued until they find Kirk's replacement. Which I think they will eventually in the next year or two.

I'm not sure it's possible given the salary cap and it would probably sabotage the season, but if it looks like the Vikings are headed that direction anyway, they definitely should trade Cousins.

Yup, as great as Bijan is he won’t get paid. They will pay him his rookie money and then eventually pick up his 5th year option. He might get franchised twice after that and then they will let him walk. Doesn’t matter how great he is, he plays RB and unfortunately that’s the nature of the position now days.
