Week 5 Thread

Post#1 » by durden_tyler » Thu Oct 5, 2023 1:40 am

Bears and Commanders open this week. Commanders are for real or have the Bears found their groove this season (Despite that ugly loss to Broncos)

This may sound crazy but I think the bears will win tomorrow night. Redskins are too up and down for me

Lots of parity this year. Only 4 games deep and only 2 undefeated teams and only 2 winless.

Why are we always on opposite ends for primetime games. LOL. Already had the Commanders locked in and sticking with it i guess. i do think the Bears best game of the season was last game and they lost it (which should be according to their tanking plans.)

I’m only even considering it bc I’m starting Fields in one of my fantasy leagues…I’m not confirmed yet. I just don’t trust Washington for some reason

Same reasoning here but for the QB on the other side. i think Howell did a fine job responding after a bad game and against the Eagles at that.

Now that's a game where we're on the same side. LOL.

Yes often times it's the hesitation and overthinking that costs us wins. LOL

Maybe even bet them (very) early since that line could move really high (currently at Dallas +3.5)

I thought they wanted to put more interesting matchups on TNF.

Al Michaels deserves this for his call of the Jags-Chargers playoff game last year

One of the biggest comebacks in NFL playoff history and he sounded like he was watching Bears-Commies TNF.

I think Chicago gets absolutely massacred this week. Fields is going to be under pressure by that talented and physical front four of Washington, so unless he runs for 180 yards, their offense is going to be ugly.

Looking forward to SF-DAL. I think SF dominates them. The only hope for Dallas is a huge game by Micah Parsons and maybe Ceedee Lamb being unguardable against SF's iffy secondary. I think SF can scheme against that and have a pretty resounding victory.

Aside from that, its a whole lot of boring matchups. I'll be interested to see how the Eagles do against a plucky Rams team. If Cooper Kupp is playing, even as a decoy, its going to cause problems for the Eagles. That one could be closer than expected.

I also am curious to see if the Bengals finally get things turned around. Their opponents, the Cardinals, are a lot better than their record. It could be a surprise loss for Cincinnati in their nightmare start to the season.
