Nabers & Odunze are locks to go in the top 10. But Worthy is definitely a 1st rounder. You also have guys like Brian Thomas & Keon Coleman who could get taken before Worthy.

This WR class is stacked.

Are they?

Most of those players didn't turn out to be great players though.

Yeah, combine speed alone is sort of overrated

It gives you a higher ceiling, and he's only 20 right now so he's still super young and raw, but you need development

I have to watch some tape cause you need to see if it translates, but that alone wouldn't bump him up over say Nabers or Odunze, cause there's so much more that goes into being an elite WR than just speed, that's why Tyreek is kind of an outlier. Plenty of small, fast guys out there, none with his route running or playmaking after the catch.

I remember one year, the fastest WR was drafted like #7 and he never did anything. He was drafted by the Rams and used more for returns than from scrimmage.

In the 90’s the Cowboys drafted a guy named Alexander Wright. Prior to the drafted he was time at 4.14 in the 40. He also had good size for a WR. Michael Irvin told a story that when the Cowboys drafted Wright he thought he would get traded. He even told his wife he was likely getting traded. After the first practice though Irvin called his wife and never mind, no way he was getting traded. Wright was a terrible WR with hands of stone. He lasted 2 years in Dallas.

Obviously you need to have a decent 40 time but fast doesn’t always mean good.

You thinking of this dude?:

That's who came to mind for me although I had to look up his name - I just remember him being drafted by the Raiders and mostly known as a track-and-field stud.

If he was drafted by the Rams, I’d assume he means Tavon Austin.

What is everyone’s opinion if this were to happen.

Dak waives his no trade clause and is traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Cowboys then draft Michael Penix.

I have to say I wouldn’t be upset with that scenario. The only question with Penix is his knee and based on his Combine exam his knee is fine.

Now would Pittsburgh want Dak that’s the question. Personally I think he’d be a great fit there. Need to hear what Steelers fans think though.

You've given up on Trey Lance already?

I just want Dumb Dak out of here. Told everyone 3 years ago he wasn't the guy and he hasn't disappointed since. What more does any Cowboy fan have to see at this point, seriously. Dak's last 3 playoff loses alone should tell a person all they need to know.

I have no problem going with Cooper Rush and/or Trey Lance as a one year bridge if it means getting rid of Dak and that horrible contract. :reporter:

I don’t think anyone ever thought Trey Lance was going be “the guy”. I’d be more interested in the rumor going around that the Vikings would give a 2nd for Lance.

Yup, that's the guy. Though I now remember DHB too.

But there was buzz on the forums about Austin's 40 times. He had one or two big games but mostly not a factor from scrimmage.
