Eagles werent really a disappointment, probably half the people took Bucs to win. Cowboys on the other hand just humiliated, many of their fans thought this was their year, some said they would even beat Niners

Eagles losing in 1st round was pretty obvious for a while it's just facing a meh playoff team in the Bucs gave you second thoughts. Cowboys is PURE disappointment.

I don’t think he means in the 1 playoff game. The Eagles were 10-1 and had the division lead locked down. Especially with their remaining schedule. They had probably the easiest schedule in the league the final 5-6 games. They were being talked about as the best team in football. Then the tailspin. No one thought they were going to win that playoff game this past week. Just 6 weeks ago though everyone thought the Eagles would get the #1 seed and cruise to the SB. That’s a pretty disappointing season I’d say.

Cowboys were smoking teams left and right. Problem is their schedule was loaded with crappy teams. Most thought they would end up with the 5 seed and then lose in round 1. Instead they exceeded expectations, Dak was on an MVP like run, and the Cowboys backed in to the 2nd seed. Everything was laid out for them to finally get to the NFC Championship game. They got the easiest path. Then lifted their skirts and showed everyone their ass.

Personally I would say the Eagles are the bigger disappointment because people expected them to be great. They went to the SB last year. This was supposed to be their “revenge season”. The expectations were higher for them than Dallas.

With that said both teams were huge disappointments.

Yeah but Eagles already had their disappointment and was pretty much done with it ready to move on by the time yesterday's game, fans were even shopping for a new coach week before the playoff game. You would want to make this thread few weeks ago if you want to talk about height of their disappointment.

This week is Cowboys and Dak's week to shine :)

Going 1-5 to end the season was the disappointment. Never fixing whatever ailed the eagles was the disappointment

Losing in the playoffs was not

They’re just different disappointments. Cowboys were the #2 seed. They had home field until the NFC title game.

I think it’s more soul crushing for its fan base to lose to the 7th seed in that scenario.

The eagles fans were just tired of Nick by the end of all this but most fans think the pieces are there to contend and trust howie to build Super Bowl teams

True but no one expected the Cowboys to go far (except for delusional Cowboys fans) in the playoffs. The Eagles were expected to make it to the SB again. Everyone (at least here) said the Eagles had the #1 seed locked down. That’s a much bigger disappointment.

I don't think any of us expected to be as bad as they were against the Packers though, let alone lose to them. Many Eagles fans thought they would lose even if I thought they were going to win and hadn't accepted the Eagles had dropped that far. Dallas pretty much came in hot and ready to go with a good opportunity.

Dallas is the bigger disappointment easily IMO. Like Last stand said, though, their disappointment basically already happened

The cowboys had the 2 seed lol

Their road in the playoffs was 7th seed packers, lions at home.

The had won like 16 in a row at home

The eagles lost 5 of their last 6 lol. It was over in december

The Cowboys always underachieve. They always fall on their face in the playoffs. So, it's less surprising.

The Eagles we're in the SB last year. They completely fell apart down the stretch. It's easily the Eagles.

Expectations evolve through the season, if Niners fail to win the NFC now it would be a massive disappointment. But Niners werent the preseason favorites to win NFC so, not winning the NFC wouldnt be big disappointment if we go by preseason expectations.

As we approached the playoffs Cowboys' expectations become much higher than Eagles', hence their fall was also much higher. Eagles essentially tumbled down from the hill as the season progressed while Cowboys plunged off the cliff they climbed on. But it's ok, it will feel better in a week or so, especially if someone else takes their spot. Perhaps Niners, perhaps Lamar and Ravens.

The narrative the eagles were more disappointing is definitely a defense mechanism to not feel worse about the cowboys season

If the ravens don’t get to the Super Bowl there season is a disaster

Coming into the season that wouldn’t have been the case

It would be disappointing for the lions to lose in the divisional round

Coming into the season that wouldn’t have been the case

The eagles can have a -82 point differential over the last 7 weeks and be a disappointing out in the playoffs

It’s pretty clear they should’ve missed the playoffs but winning some of those early close games almost forcefully kept them in lol

The eagles could’ve went 0-6 to end the season and they would’ve made the playoffs lol

Yea but the Cowboys ALWAYS **** the bed in the playoffs. They have been doing it for 30 YEARS. Was them losing really that big of a surprise? More so than the collapse the Eagles had?

Either way it’s a dumb argument. Both teams took a big ol’ dump on their fans. No ones crap smells better than the other.

You can kinda tell who is more disappointed by the reduced volume of Cowboys fans' posts or disappearance of Cowboys fans.

Before this week when you said something critical of Dak or Cowboys you would have at least 5 Cowboys fans attack you at the same time with their odd theories. Now it is mostly crickets lmao.

Kind of hard for some to defend Dak when he shows his ass to the whole country.

Even I'm disappointed by the Cowboys. I feared they might actually reach a NFCCG for the first time in almost 30 years.

Eagles been broken for weeks.

Yeah, it all depends on where you are setting the mile markers.

If it is for the playoffs- The Cowboys for sure. They came in hot and had what looked to be a manageable road to the NFC Championship game. If they made it that far, a team that hot is super dangerous whether on the road or not. The Eagles on the other hand stumbled into the playoffs and continued to stumble in their playoff game. Everyone in my circle took the Bucs on the money line or an alternate spread where they were winning…. Packers-Cowboys was much more divided.

If it is for the season- The Eagles for sure. Coming in they were the Super Bowl runner up, racked up wins for the first two-thirds of the season and seemed to be destined for the number one seed when the 49ers had their hiccup mid-season. It was Super Bowl or bust for them almost from the start where the Cowboys have been get out of the first round or bust.

Both disappointed big time and an overhaul is needed for both organizations in one way or another.
