Buncha safe picks, mostly.

I'm not sure how i'm supposed to interpret the Vick comment.

I had trouble with it also, I think it's some kind of metaphor, hence the We're drawing a "Blank" (Arthur Blank, pun intended I guess). Pretty well thought out but doesn't make much sense.

Either way, I think the Falcons are too low.

The Falcons have the potential to be really, really good or really, really bad. Lots of question marks. I can see them winning 11 or 12 games without anything spectacular happening, but at the same time I can see them winning 6 or 7 games.

Too much to prove for them to be ranked much higher than 19. Of course, all power rankings (especially this early) are dumb and useless.

Don't be so sure; there are some Arena league teams ready to make the leap.

I think some CFL teams have been knocking on the door too recently... Michael Bishop is turning some heads....

Titans should be lower. Unfortunately.

It's not the Arthur Blank thing, it's that it's vague about how much ESPN is being quiet on the dog fighting allegations. I guess I probably overread it and they're ignoring it for their own good, but potentially replacing Vick with Joey Harrington for a half a season sure as hell has to be a noteworthy factor for the team's outlook.

bengals at rank 10? can't complain about that. plus, i don't see the colts being no.2 at all. their offense is great but their defensive will be terrible next year....

Bears win the NFC north again. Do these division titles mean anything?

I still don't understand how the defending Super Bowl champs cannot be the #1 team.

I'm not as sold on the Patriots as most people. Sooner or later they're going to make a mistake with all of their character reaches, and with all the characters on that squad and zero depth at some very key positions, I think there's a lot of potential potholes. No question they're extraordinarily talented though.

Green Bay is about 10 spots too low IMO, though I do get that they have nothing proven at RB.

I don't think there's 2 teams worse than the Dolphins. The aging defense is even older, they have no QB, their OL is the worst in football, and their WR corps is in the bottom 5 or so even if Ginn is a solid #2 right away. Nick Saban killed that team and it's going to take years to recover, and a rookie head coach is not a good start.

Better to burst your bubble than to burst McGahee's knee.

whatever, super bowl 42: Bears 56, Chargers 0

That "aging" D was top-5 last year and has the reigning DPOY on the roster.

You're kinda under-selling that. Just a bit.
