green traded to dolphins

Post#1 » by kmgarnett21 » Wed Jun 6, 2007 12:42 am

what does this mean for daunte culpepper now??? he's my favorite QB and it sux the fins forced him into playing so early last year...hopefully he beats out green in preseason and training camps or green sucks it up in the regular season.

hopefully culpepper wont be released or traded though...do you think he will?

Culpepper's gone. He's not Cameron's type of QB, meaning he's not a traditional pocket passer.

Wow, they actually managed to find a quarterback who's older than John Beck. Green, Beck and Joey Porter will definitely give this team a much-needed infusion of youth.

Green has spent most of his career behind a very good offensive line. It will be interesting to see him on a team whose front office is actually uttering the rarely heard phrase "we miss Damion McIntosh."

Prediction: 4-12. That's what happens when you draft a family in the first round instead of a football player.

DAVIE, Fla. -- Daunte Culpepper apparently won't be getting a chance to compete with Trent Green for the starting quarterback job in Miami.

One day after agreeing to send a fifth-round draft pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for Green, the Dolphins told Culpepper on Wednesday they want to trade him -- a move he is resisting.

Culpepper said he was told at a morning meeting with general manager Randy Mueller and coach Cam Cameron that the Dolphins "are going in a different direction at the QB position."

"They would like to trade me in order to 'get something for me,"' Culpepper, who serves as his own agent, wrote in an e-mail. "However, it is my position that I have already been down that road and I am not interested in being traded."

When he was healthy, he had all the capabilities of a premier pocket passer. Size, strong arm, accuracy.

I would rather face Trent Green than Daunte. Mark week 1 as a win for the Skins

I've stated this before, but I always thought Trent Green was quite average, and that the O-Line gave him plenty of time to work with...

But of course, since there are no metrics to measure this, we cannot know for sure.

From Roaf, Wiegman and Shields to Shelton, Carey and Hadnot.

It wouldn't suprise me if Green was unable to walk after Week 6.

They drafted a returner in the first. Hard to do worse than that.
First the federal government borrowed money; then gave the money to Bank of America; then I borrowed some of that money from Bank of America and gave it to the federal government; then the federal government gave the money back to Bank of America.
