Between MJD and DMC, they've got 6 initials and maybe 10 healthy games at RB?

well if they disperse the touches between reece, mcfadden, and mjd, maybe that keeps them in better shape.

Reese is criminally under-used. I hope they figure out a way to get him more touches.

agreed, the guy can be used in the passing game pretty damn well to. Probably the most talented full back in the league

165 pounds soaking wet, one piece of loose turf away from career ending injury. Ill tell that to myself. But not getting a single pick, even if 5th round or after, is unacceptable. Someone leaked that they would release him, and it bit them in the ass in negotiations. Now he can go to a division rival, which is horrible. Carolina, and Oakland probably gonna go after him.

It also speaks to how dumb jackson is. If he had a conversation with kelly and came out of it thinking he was an eagle. Or maybe he just did that to stir the pot, knowing he was getting released so it looked like he was bamboozled. Can't quite understand that.

But ye, he was missing team meetings, and it was because of his gang connections. That is unacceptable and its good to know chip doesn't put up with BS behavior.

Very excited and pleased with the way management has handled the off-season. There is now veteran leadership in the locker room, they provide the team with a chance to make some noise, and I look forward to what my Raiders due on the field this season.

From a football perspective, this makes no sense. But I don't think the Eagles management is incompetent or cheap. There's more to this story than meets the eye.

He'll be off the free agency market in no time.

if you look at the wiretap, its pretty apparent why they did it. But from a football perspective, it would really hurt if he goes to a division rival, or even anyone in the nfc.

Eagles are in trouble regardless of whether he signs within the division or conference. You can't just replace a guy of his playmaking ability overnight.

I have to imagine it was more a question of his salary than being unwilling to give up a late round pick for him. But still, I'm amazed that they couldn't get at least SOMETHING for him from a team like Oakland or the Jets.

This DJax release does not happen if the Aaron Hernandez situation wasn't so fresh.

FWIW back in his draft class several teams removed him from their draft boards because of his background and arrogant pride in hanging with known criminals. Finally caught up to him.

Tarnished reputation a bit, yes. But he will get picked up. 4.3 or 4.4 speed. Or whatever it is. And his ability to kill the safety? That alone will bring teams to hire him.

Looking like it. I can see where our FA is coming from though: Steven wasn't very durable last year and rushed for 543 yards, a career low. His contract isn't guaranteed and he'll be 31 this year, while Johnson will be 29.
