Can you sell me on Buzelis?

I wasn’t a fan based on his lack of shooting and I HATE the Tellem connection.

6'10 has potential to create his own shot with some athleticism. If he can develop a 3 point shot you're looking at a potential star with his defense and shot blocking at 3/4.

Arn Tellem is connected to a lot of people.

I don’t want him working for this team but it’s not a small or exclusive group that has some tangential connection to him or his family.

If sheppard is there at 5 and we don't draft him i'm done watching this team.

I just hate to think that if someone associated with his group has a similar but worse evaluation to a slightly more promising prospect, that the team would be influenced to go with his guy.

A valid concern for sure.

Just saying I wouldn’t immediately dismiss anyone with that connection, either as a draft pick or a BBO pick.

If he’s not there, it might mean that Risacher fell.

I don’t look at that as a bad thing.

If one of Sarr, Risacher or Sheppard is available at 5, I’ll be happy.

Yes, unfortunately that’s a distinct possibility.

Let’s keep hoping

One of Sarr, Risacher or Sheppard will be there at 5 IMO. Most likely Sheppard.

I wonder if Houston takes a 3/4 with the 3rd pick if Tari Eason would become available.

My first mock draft
Hawks Sarr
Wizards Clingan
Rockets Sheppard
Spurs Dillingham
Pistons Buzelis (I hate this pick).

I’d rather get Holland but Buzelis isn’t bad just can’t shoot. Holland can’t shoot either but I like his athleticism. I’d also take Risaccher over Buzelis. I think Buzelis gets drafted because of the Tellem connection. I wanna know when that connection will ever do us anything positive other than Derrick Rose.

Buzelis 68% FT shooting is concerning.

It’s easier to imagine his 3P % improving if the FT% was higher.

There’s been a lot of statistical evidence to show that as a solid indicator.

I think my current big board is probably
1. Sarr
2. Knecht
3. Sheppard
4. Risaccher
5. Buzelis

Knecht has the shooting and size, Sheppard has the shooting, and the last two are more theoretical, but I believe in Buzelis the least as a shooter.

I really hope Gnecht or Sheppard falls to 5, this draft doesn’t have a defined star, just draft the best available based on need and fit, we need shooting, if both are gone it’s Risarcher than Buzelis

Knecht looks like a solid player but he’s 5 years removed from high school.

You don’t think if Ron Holland or Cody Williams had 4 more years to develop they’d be superior to him?

Taking a low ceiling guy a 5 because he’s a good fit is super short sighted in my opinion.

It sounds like Houston are heavily shopping their pick for someone to win now. At this stage, I doubt they are drafting for themselves, so I think it is an interesting wrinkle depending on which team ends up a 3.

T-Wolves fan who comes in peace and follows the Pistons with a keen eye.

If we win the chip, what would you offer for KAT or Rudy Gobert, provided you would be interested in said players?
