Thrill wallpaper
If you’ve followed the site then you know that I like to do vector drawings (when time permits). This Will Bynum pic has been in the works for a long, long time. I’ve messed with it here and there, but work and home keeps me pretty busy. Well, I finally finished it and decided to turn it into a wallpaper.

I wanted it to have an 80’s type vibe since I’m still in love with that decade and just can’t let it go. Does it look like it could be the cover of a TrapperKeeper?

I took my time on this because Will is the man and I wanted to be happy with the way it came out. The wall is 1680 x 1050 but if you need a different size just let me know. I’ve gotten a Jonas Jerebko vector request. I’ll see what I can do.

John Wall and top-seeded Kentucky overcame an early deficit with a swarming defense, stopping Cornell's captivating NCAA tournament run with a 62-45 win Thursday night in the East Regional semifinals.

With much of the Carrier Dome crowd -- and the country -- pulling for an upset by the 12th-seeded Ivy Leaguers, Cornell bolted to a 10-2 lead in the opening minutes. But quickly, Wall and the Wildcats (35-2) displayed all the NBA-caliber talent that makes them a traditional powerhouse. Kentucky led 32-16 at halftime and made it 38-21 before Cornell (29-5) climbed back into it.

Ahead by 40-34 with 5 1/2 minutes left, coach John Calipari's team kept its composure and advanced to play No. 2 seed West Virginia on Saturday for a spot in the Final Four.

Pistons expect close game against lowly Nets
The Detroit Pistons have beaten the lowly New Jersey Nets two times this season. But it has not been easy. The teams met twice in a five-day span in February with the Pistons claiming a 97-93 victory on the road and a 99-92 win at home. The teams meet for the final time this season Friday night at Izod Center. "It doesn't matter who you face," Pistons coach John Kuester said. "What you have to do is have the approach that we've had in (two) games with them. We've played well. And they have played well also."

The Nets have just four victories at home this season and an NBA-low eight victories overall. But the Pistons have just seven wins on the road, so it likely will be another close game.Kuester said the Nets are better than their record indicates. "It's never as bad as it seems or as good as it seems," he said. "Every team has issues, but one of the things about New Jersey is they've got some guys that play hard." The Nets have a talented combination in 6-foot-3 point guard Devin Harris, who averages 17.5 points and 6.7 assists, and 7-foot center Brook Lopez, who averages 18.9 points and 8.8 rebounds.

Harris is averaging 22.5 points and 10.5 assists in two games against the Pistons this season, and Lopez is averaging 23.5 points and 6.0 rebounds. "Throughout the entire season, they have had moments where they've been outstanding," Kuester said. "You've got an all-star point guard in Devin Harris. You've got a big man in Brook Lopez that, you have somebody to go into the post and then you surround him with some of the players that they do have. They're talented." The Pistons have lost their past six games and 13 of their past 15. The Nets beat Sacramento 93-79 on Wednesday.

Jacob Pullen made a 3-pointer with 31.2 seconds left in the second overtime Thursday night for the go-ahead points in second-seeded Kansas State's 101-96 victory over No. 6 Xavier in the West Regional semifinals.

Terrell Holloway answered with two free throws, but Pullen came back with two of his own. Then, Xavier's Dante Jackson missed a 3-pointer that would've tied it and the Wildcats (29-7) iced it. They will play fifth-seeded Butler on Saturday for a trip to the Final Four.

Crawford led Xavier (26-7) with 32 points and Pullen led the Wildcats with 28, including eight in the second overtime.
