Is Monroe auditioning for Space Jam 2 as one of the players to get taken over by the Monstars? Talk about a guy who appeared to have a good head on his shoulders stringing together questionable decisions.

i guess he's lucky he wasn't further north on woodward. even as a first time offender, he could've been doing time like jalen rose did: http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/2011-07-27-jalen-rose-dui-jail_n.htm

glad to see him (likely) gone after this year. drunk driving is a serious problem. he could've killed someone.

Two glasses of wine doesn't make you piss all over yourself. I wonder if he pissed himself when the cops pulled him over knowing he was screwed. If he only had two glasses of wine, somebody slipped something in his drink.

Agreed. 2 glasses of wine doesn't get a 250 pound man to a .09. He could slam two glasses of wine and his BAC wouldn't even be close to that.

If his BAC was indeed .09, then there's no way he only had 2 glasses of wine.

This story keeps getting better. I'm going to believe it was only 2 drinks because it makes the story funnier. What a lightweight.

SC, nice work though bro, I imagined him saying it & died. lol

.09 is legally impaired. To drive at that rate is dangerous to everyone on the road. Endangering lives just because he didn't want to take a cab and have to pick his car up later is ridiculous.

Let me be clear, I have lost a close family member via a drunk driver so in no way, ON ANY PLANET, am I condoning driving while under the influence. I'm just trying to preach perspective when dealing with this situation.

& whoever leaked the urination story should be water boarded, completely irrelevant to the case. Its disgusting the levels some people will go to in order to damage someones reputation.

Yeah, I wouldn't go there...

Wine (decent or better wine, anyway) is somewhat linked to "cultured".
Wine is in no way linked to "gay". That's ridiculous. Trust me, I have a large sample size out here to confirm that's nonsense.

Iam sure this whole thing had some input on stan and company making their decision on gregs deal and iam sure this probably lit alittle fire in greg and made him upset, just another reason to want out,no matter if it was his doing or not.

This could just be the tip of the ice berg.

If this was smith or jennings,I could see this thread going a completely different direction.

I can't wait for the season to get started or at least training camp so we can get other news than stuff like this.

Bad decision on his part.

I'm sorry it happened.

I'm glad no one got hurt.

I hope he learned his lesson and doesn't have a repeat of this.

Just because these people (or kids in some cases) are elite athletes, it doesn't mean they're perfect human beings in every aspect of their lives.

This is a dumb mistake that millions of people in their early 20's have made, Monroe just got caught doing it.

AND#1!

Sorry, couldn't resist. I don't really want to cast stones. I can't say I've never done anything stupid in my life. Drinking and driving is not a trivial matter. The best policy is don't do it.
