looks like it's time for our playoff run

after weeks and months of saying meeks was the key to this team making the playoffs, he finally proved it yesterday in his pistons debut. now we can keep the ball rolling and make the playoffs. we're just seven games out of 8th seed, LET'S GET IT!

PS cousins is out today and the kings are 3-7 in their last ten games, perfect time to start a win streak!

Tank.

It'd be an utter travesty to get a playoff spot and be mediocre since we ain't going deep with Smith and Jennings on the roster. We shed them to bottom out, keep Dre, KCP and Dinwiddie and young guys, easy rebuild.

I think we win this one. Without Cousins playing our frontcourt is going to dominate them. We have to get back too losing though. Even if we cant get a top 3 pick we at least need a top 5 so we can get Winslow or Johnson. Have to add more young talent this offseason.

I just want us to play with energy and for Drummond/KCP to play well like they did last night. Playoffs are out of reach for us now. Atlanta won 38 games as the 8th seed last year. We'd have to go 34-25 the rest of the way to even match that.

I'm in the west and hate late games. I feel for the people who have to wait back east. :banghead:

Even if we play good the rest of the way, we are in such a hole that the playoffs don't look too likely. I'm sure we can win enough to f--k up our great draft pick :-)

Sacramento without Cousins? This should be a win. Maybe we can show off Smith and convince them to make a trade :-)

Kings are struggling and Smith would be a perfect fit for them right now

Hopefully he has a monster game tonight and tricks Vivek into trading for him

Whoaaaa, lets hold our horses. We won 1 game against a battered suns team.Even with cousins out,sac have been playing good ball, they took houston to the wire.If we come out like we did yesterday and kcp-meeks-dre have good games,it will be a good game/fight.

Iam on the fence,it could go either way.We probably lose tho if any of the guys from last night dont show up.

Sucks I want be able to comment with you guys tonight, have to take the kids to a skating party.

So good luck and have fun.

As good as it feels to finally win a game, it is still not in our best interest. If we made the playoffs it would be a turnaround of epic proportions. I don't see that happen. Endure the pain this season and hope for a turnaround next season. We've endured for 5 years now. We can do it one more.

This is a loss

It will be a victory of highest order if Josh Smith leaves the game through the home locker room.
At the end of the day, it's not about wins and losses. Teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship make champions of us all.

If Josh plays 35+ minutes, then we lose.

If he plays 20 mins or so, we lose but we can watch younger guys go at it and play more inspiring basketball without turning the tank around.

Give me option 2.

Whether we win or lose, I don't know. The best thing for the Pistons would be that they start to play better right now. I'm not going to root against the team playing better. It's not unreasonable to expect that this will happen. Top down change, new players, new system?

A high draft pick is some compensation for a horrible season, but it remains a crap shoot. Players prefer organizations that enjoy some success.

This is a team in a similar situation to Phoenix last night, meaning its at least in theory possible we win it.

And yeah, count me in as someone rooting for the team to get better. Picks are dandy, but the atmosphere is toxic right now. I don't care how good a player is, he's not going to get the proper development in the kind of atmosphere it would take to be a bottom 3 team this year, not after so many years of futility.

Maybe tanking was the way to go 4 years ago when we hadn't already endured 6 years of learned futility, but not now.

Good test for KCP. Hopefully Smith plays well enough for the Kings to want him!
