Are you onboard with this? Who gets traded if it happens?

I'd be ok with this. Maybe Datome/Dinwiddie and a 2nd round for Cole/Ennis or something like that. I doubt Miami would trade Ennis but, hell, it's worth a shot.

So,umm, Miami...How would you like to give us a spare PG so we can try to compete and perhaps bump you out of the playoffs?

Anyone know his contract situation? Imagine the logjam at PG when Jennings gets back.
With Jennings, DJ, Dinwiddie (potentially) and Cole.

To be honest what does he bring to the table?
From what I remember/have seen he isn't the best distributor, I could be wrong tho.

Fairly certain he is going to be a free agent at seasons end.

He's an mediocre to average backup. This gives SVG depth, but not much help.

To anyone else wondering also, according to the future free agents page here, he has a team option with an ETO

If SVG can get him for Datome, then do it. Otherwise just roll with DJ and Spencer with Meeks as the 3rd PG.

Not a big cole fan, but I'd take him if Miami is giving him away. I wouldn't trade any assets for him.

We could use a defensive player at pg. DJ is going to be OK offensively, but there are going to be a lot of nights where he just isn't going to get lit up on defense.

yes,Gary Talton, the NBA Development League’s assists leader, league sources told RealGM.

Behind 13 games of 10 or more assists, Talton has averaged 13.2 points, 10.2 assists and 40.6 percent three-point shooting this season Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Hornets and Philadelphia 76ers are exploring the call-up candidacy of Gary Talton,

I'd be surprised if we actually pulled off a trade for a PG option. It seems pretty clear Stan isn't going to give up a draft pick and he likely doesn't want a contract that extends after this year. We could really use some of the extra few mil he tossed to Butler right about now for a team looking to duck the lux tax threshold and uninterested in paying Philly's insane contract taxes.

not currently on NBA teams: Will Bynum, Peyton Siva, Eric Maynor, Jordan Farmar, Marquis Teague.

Take a D-League guy like Seth Curry or something.

Norris Cole isn't even liked by a lot of Heat fans at this point.

If I'm not mistaken he is a good defender we have no PG that can defend. He would be a nice change on the court from DJ who is far from a average defender.
