And really, tolliver didn't forget how to shoot over the summer. When he was getting open looks last year, he was knocking them down.

25-30 minutes isn't too much to ask.

Tolliver is what he is, a spot up shooter, nothing more.
Even if he does start shooting better.. it still hurts us having such a 1 dimensional offensive player on the floor.

Worst shooting team with a team full of "shooters" and we're still 7-7. That's pretty good if you ask me. They'll find their rhythm. I believe in this team.

I'm too lazy to look, but somebody go find out our shooting #'s when coming off rest vs. on a back to back. Tired legs usually lead to shots coming up short. Travel can also impact this.

Not that it's a great excuse or that we don't need to find ways to overcome (depth certainly helps), but it's on more thing in play against us.

Yeah I don't get it. The guy needs to get fired. His coaching is garbage. Only thing he's fixed is Dre's FT shooting

Last year when we started 3 bigs we were the worst shooting team in the league. Not because those bigs couldn't score, but because of lack of ball movement.

This year we start 3 bigs, and we are the worst shooting team in the league. Not because those bigs can't score, but because of lack of ball movement.

I don't know how much more simple to make it. SJ needs to start.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

Erasan IS playing 25.5 mpg. That's about what you are going to get out of him. He's never player anything close to 30 mpg. Even in the mid-20's, he still ends up on IR frequently.

As for 1-dimensional players - what do you expect on your bench? Guys who can do multiple things at high levels are usually starting somewhere. Tolliver was a solid contributor for us last year. but he's obviously limited. He looked really good when he was consistently getting open looks, but he needs someone setting him up.

Here's a link on how post heavy offenses are doing better against 2nd units

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/fancy-stats/wp/2015/11/24/with-post-play-on-the-decline-nbas-big-men-can-feast-on-second-units/

This confirms that our post-heavy offensive player should come off the bench...

He's averaging 25mpg, not playing 25 minutes every game, there is a difference. There have been several games where he has played less than 25 minutes, some under 20. That is unacceptable. There has been several games where he has played 29+ minutes and he has played very well.

^That's the thing, Tolliver is averaging 20 minutes per game.. playing with the starters at times.
A 1-dimensional spot up shooter that can't hit shots shouldn't be getting 20 minutes a game. Maybe 6-10 minutes, but no more.
