At this point it's his confidence holding him back.. His game is lacking, but there is still a decent player in there in my opinion. He's 20 years old, needs to get his confidence back.

Stanimal has to learn. SVG says his work ethic is inconsistent. Stanley says there's nothing wrong with his work ethic. I don't believe they are talking about the same things. SVG might be referring to results in practice while Stanley is thinking effort. I still believe the kid is a workhorse, but going back to training camp he was forcing plays, turning the ball over, and missing shots.

Bottom line, there's a need for growth. If he's confused about what's expected of him, I hope he has a sit down with SVG. I still really like this dude and see a ton of potential in him. His opportunity will come. Hopefully that's with the Pistons.

I don't think anyone here will disagree. He's not injured, it's strictly a mental issue, which directly ties with effort.

After Hilliard's performance against Orlando + news of a good practice for Stanley he might get a chance to win back his spot in the rotation today. Hope he takes advantage if so.

Stanley playing in D League tonight. I'm absolutely shocked. Would love to watch it though. Anyone know how or where to stream it?

after talking to SVG, vincent ellis said that the pistons were going to have a practice today but were given a day off instead. the drive happened to have a home game tonight so they wanted to give SJ some playing time, he'll be back with the team for tomorrow's home game vs. the sixers.

i understand why the team is doing it and the scheduling worked out perfectly but it's hard not to look at as anything but a demotion for SJ.

I love it. The D-league isn't the death sentence that everybody makes it out to be. Hopefully he finds his rhythm and has himself a game. The kid needs a confidence boost now more than ever.

Yeah, even Jennings rehabbed over D-League, this might be the best move for him.

But there is the downside that he flounders there too, which would basically kill any sliver of trade value left in him should it ever come to that.

I'd request a trade at this point.

I think he is going to kill it in the D-league. If he doesn't that isn't a good sign.

I'm shocked we actually did this, but it's probably the best thing for him. Hopefully he takes as a challenge and not a slight.

I was shocked too, but after seeing the tweet Russkopp posted in the game thread seems SJ and SVG talked about this before SVG did it. That is a good thing imo

"Basement floor"...
Real cute Stanley. What a moronic thing to do given his current situation.
Get your mind right kid and stop acting like a little b tch.
Detroit fans will turn on you faster than anyone. Maybe you'll learn that sooner than later at this rate.
I've been in the "he's young, no big deal" camp since this whole "problem" with Stanley started this year, but honestly at this point I'm getting a little tired of it. This kid needs to shut his f ckin mouth and just earn his minutes.

What if you're out of state, will it work?

You don't know what he's referencing, but your bitching and throwing a tantrum. I wish posters held themselves to the same standards they demand of players.
