Yes, Weaver always takes care of his people. The Nephotism in this organization is insane.

McGruder is better than half of our roster, and that's depressing.

Pablo Torre Finds Out: Former Grizzlies scorekeeper turned Sixers exec Alex Rucker ADMITS to juicing NBA stats in the 90’s — and says that the practice was “reinforced internally within the Grizzlies.” “There’s a discussion, ‘That wasn’t an assist, that was a pass.’ … And the majority opinion by a mile was, ‘Oh no, that’s definitely an assist. It’s John Stockton.’ … It’s up to us, in very small part, as statisticians, to support or reinforce stars and excitement.” More:

Holy smokes! GSW down 44 to Boston at halftime. 82-38. All of the regular starters are playing on both sides.

I can't remember ever seeing that before.

Edit: deficit is now 49 4 minutes into the third...

Wow.

I had no idea. I don't often pay attention to the personal lives of these guys. Glad he pulled through it.

Rockets winning 7 straight with their best player out. I remember years back we had a thread comparing our young guys to them,Magic, and Okc. All those teams are sooo much better then us now its not even close.

Probably 2021 right after we drafted Cade everyone thought that Hayes + Bey + Stew + Cade was the "core 4" of the future.... later on that season people also thought we got a steal in Bagley for some 2nds. We finished Cade's rookie season on a high note winning 11 of 22 games in a post all-star break stretch before resting a few players at the very end of the season.

Now we're winning closer to 11 of 70 games than 11 of 22.

This board was so high on our future and many even wanting to trade Jerami Grant so we can get more chances for our young core to develop.

I was actually wanting to trade Grant. With hindsight now though I think we would be better off if we kept Grant. Sure we wouldnt have Duren but its not that hard to find 5s. A player like Grant who can 3+D would of been very nice on this roster. Like I would much much rather have him then T.Harris or something. Also he was the rare player that wanted to come here and play that had options in free agency he turned Denver down to play for us.

It seems even the Troy moves I liked trading Grant, trading Kennard for Bey pick, even trading BB+Burks(we have no NBA players on the roster now) I turn out not liking the results. I do like the Tecch pick up currently but who knows if I'll like it in a couple years after we pay him. You really need to wait a couple years on draft picks and trades to see the result from them. Were seeing the results now of Troys moves and the product is the worst its ever been.

I'd like to know what kinda deals we havent heard about that Troys passed up in the name of tanking. We know SGA+pick and even more certain Murray was offered to us this season. Fire this man.

Dejounte is a decent player for sure. He's better than anyone we have including Cade at the moment but Cade is close and will be better soon IMO. That said, they reportedly wanted something like Ausar + Ivey + Bojan for him which is a decent amount..... If it was just Ivey + Bojan its like sure you can roll with that deal but Ausar too is a steep price to pay when we've seen he can be a lock down defender. His brother has been putting up some big time games as well.

I'd easily give up Ausar+Ivey for a guaranteed all star level player like Murray. I like Ausar but their is a very high chance he cant shoot which means hes not going to be startable. Not many players go from 60%FT and 18.5%3pt to being below average shooters from age 20. Obv if he can shoot hes going to be awesome but its a big if.

Murray was ALL NBA defensive player pre Hawks system. Hes a game wrecker whos constantly picking up steals. Ofc he is at his best with the ball in hands but he can at least hit a open 3pter. Also 30mill per year for this level of player is a great deal.

Regardless that deal isnt going to be on the table now. Rumors are Hawks are going to trade Trae Young and build around Murray instead now.

Washington somehow beat Milwaukee, so we’re allowed to win another game.

if we can.
