Man, watching these play-in games really shows how far we have to go before we become in any way competitive.

These aren’t even the top dogs but the level of play is just…different than what I see when most of the games I watch are Piston games.

It is different look at the top 8 minutes leaders for us:

Ivey 2217
Cade 2074
Duren 1777
Ausar 1583
Stew 1423
Wiseman 1091
Hayes 1008

This is like a Hinkiie process style roster except we werent tanking this year. Some fans blame our coach for the season its like come on no coach is winning with this its impossible. Monty sucks but the man who made this roster is the guy to blame.

We need to hit the trade market and get a impact player. Trade for one impact guy. sign one impact, then we got a full season of Tecch. Trading Ivey and having no Killian and Wiseman will be addition by subtraction. Give Cade some competent players on the basketball team and we might look like a playin team next year.

Killian being that high on the list of minutes played is something you can directly credit to Monty.

As well as Weaver for drafting him (acceptable miss) and keeping him for so long when(unacceptable) it was clear that Hayes wasn't an NBA level talent.

Weaver isn't exempt, but Killian wouldn't have gotten the minutes he did under any competent coach.

There is a parallel between Monty/Weaver in terms of willingness to concede defeat. Both guys are adamant they are correct, despite all the evidence to the contrary. Purely hypothetical, but Gores is probably attracted to that sort of bullish commitment. Something about the decisiveness & perseverance that he admires. It's a cultural thing at this point.

All the bitching about Weaver, Monty, the roster, blah blah blah, Gores needs to **** go. :D

That Knicks Philly series was great.

Despite his box amazing box score, Embiid did not seem to want to be there in the dying minutes and he didn't seem to have his usual confidence. Surely the discussions about his lack of playoff success pick up now.

Hard to really come down on him too hard in this series. He was playing hurt the entire series. He was questionable going into this one.

I get you, but he just looked like he didn't want the ball for the entire 4th quarter. How much of that is confidence in his body and how much of that is a mental thing in the playoffs?
