There's an argument for Blake over Charlie V.... even though Blake gave us a good 1.5 years we still gave ups Harris + picks for him and if we didn't make that trade we almost certainly would have just missed the playoffs that season in the 2018 draft where the picks in that range looked like this.

10. Mikal Bridges
11. SGA
12. Miles Bridges
13. Jerome Robinson
14. Michael Porter Jr.

Our entire franchise's history from 2018 could look entirely different if we didn't make the Blake trade.

Eh, the decision to make the Blake trade in general and effects of it can certainly be criticized.

But, Blake Griffin the player was more than fine. He had an incredible year his first full season in Detroit. Made the all NBA team and was an all star (both of which were the first time in 4 years). Its EASILY one of the best seasons by a Piston in this millenium.

Doesn’t seem obvious that it’s about any player that’s leaving.

Yeah, I don’t really get it but I’m glad the teammates seem to like each other.

Literally minutes after Killian was waived Ivey shared a picture of himself and Cade. Ivey has been pissed this season that he was coming off the bench behind Killian so it appears that Ivey is happy to see Killian go much like myself.

Everyone was nice to Killian as a teammate but they had to know he was horrible.

It also shows that while its not true in every case, in some situations you can certainly accurately project based on "small sample sizes." it was painfully obvious that Killian Hayes was not going to pan out VERY EARLY on.

'But he's only played 210 games! And he's still only 22 years old!'

:banghead: GTFO with that BS. He's not an nba player. Horrible draft pick. I've been promised to be mocked & laughed at once he blossoms with his new team. Was promised the same with Andre Drummond. I'm still waiting. Whether Hayes even gets a new team is in question.

This was the best transaction of the day. By far.

Semi-surprising that we couldn't extract even a late or heavily protected second rounder, but Killian was also one of the worst players getting regular rotation minutes in the league.

This is an addition by subtraction move, and Sasser should benefit greatly.

Why would you be surprised? Would you give up a second rounder to audition Hayes? He's not helping you this year and he's not getting any offers above the min next year.

At the end of the day, it's not about wins and losses. Teamwork, fair play, and good sportsmanship make champions of us all.

I'm shocked he had no trade value.

I honestly don't know if another team even gives him a guaranteed contract for the rest of the season. He might be 10 day status or G League/2way status if he wants to stay in the NBA.
