DeMar DeRozan is a FA and I'm sure he wouldn't want to come here unless we overpay, but I feel like Cade's similar mid range game that Cade could really learn a lot from a year with DeMar, especially since DeMar is a king at drawing fouls.

We would be the mid range kings

I love the thought of adding a top 5 pick and $65M worth of Veteran talent to that group.

I don't think you want multiple players that operate in that space. Devin Booker also does alot in the midrange but his 3 point game is wet too. I'd rather Cade pattern after Booker and not Derozan.

Don’t look now! (Blaha voice)

The Pistons are tied for the worst record with the Wizards.

All we need is 2 more wins to catch Wemby & the Spurs.

I've seen it posted recently, but Cade has really, really turned a corner overall, but his three point shooting for the season is almost exactly at 36%, but for his last, 22 games he's shooting .410%

Not counting tonight, over his last 10 games he's shooting .432%.

Tonight he shot 3/5 (60%).

On an additional note, over that same 22 game stretch his turnovers are down to 3 per game which is absolutely fine for his type of usage, and over the past 10 he's down to 2.5 per game which is outstanding, while averaging 7.5apg.

All of these are all-nba numbers.

Now Monty, that's how you run Cade/Ivey together! Both ran the point and both felt included. Good win!

Good job by the refs actually doing there job tonight too!

We looked solid tonight. It was a B2B, so I understand the bench usage, but we need a solid nine man rotation when rested and healthy. I don’t really even care who starts.

Cade, Ivey, Ausar, Fontecchio, Duren, Sasser, Grimes, Stewart… and any one of TBJ, Fournier, or Milton (someone logging minutes at SF). That’s it.

Not Flynn, not Wiseman, no other scrubs. Play nine guys, ten if there’s foul trouble. Tighten that isht up, brew some chemistry, win some more games. Finish in front of a few teams, that’s fine.

Thoughts on the game

1. Im not saying Ausar is going to be anywhere near him but he reminds me so much of T-Mac on those mid range fades.

2. Tan Cade continues his dominance

3. That Ivey block was nasty

Interesting that after this game we don't have the outright worst record (now tied with Wizards), and there's actually 4 teams (Hornets, Wizards, Blazers, Spurs) who have a worse net rating than us. We've lost more games as we seem to consistently fall apart in the last 5 minutes and lose the close ones.

We've been meme'd as a historically bad team this season but realistically we're just regular bad. It's also conceivable and maybe even likely that we could finish with the 3rd worst record by the end of this season.

man that Bulls team is exactly what I don't want the Pistons to become, a bunch of vets who can't get past mediocre..

Caruso was such a best on defense... I said it before if we take on LaVine's contract we have to get Caruso in the deal too or it isn't worth it. I can't believe Chicago is still grasping to make the play-in with 34 year old DeMar as their main guy.

Monty with some interesting post game comments. He asked the guys what they saw out there in the first half and Duren said they need to get out and run and that's exactly what they did the 2nd half 14 fast break pts to Chicago's 2 was a big help. Ivey + Ausar on the break is especially strong Weaver needs to let those young kids run and gun a bit more.

The problem is he is not 100% healthy a lot. He was playing like an ass before the all star break, and it was reported it was because of his knee

Chris Paul will be a FA as well, we could have CP3/Cade/DD then we would be the mid range kings

After 2 questionable losses, the Pistons could have hung their heads down. Bulls have won the last 19 of 20, and Pistons didn't win in Chicago in 5 years.. DEFENSE is why we won. Bulls only turned it over 4 times, but we contested shots and got back on transition. And more importantly, it allowed us to run, get better shots.

When Sasser comes back, I'd like to see him Ivey play together, so Ivey can have the ball while Sass shoots. Don't wanna see Flynn play.

Good to finally get a win. Those rotations though - ugh. They need to stagger out these minutes and keep at least 1 creator on the floor. I'm thrilled that we finally went out and got some guys who can shoot and open jumper and play defense, but you still need someone out there creating those looks. You want Grimes shooting 3's off kickouts, not step backs off the dribble.

Burks was incredible at drawing fouls when he was here. I don't think it's transferable like that, sadly.
