This season feels like it has drug on forever. Can't end soon enough.

Sun, May 12, 2024 during the NBA draft lottery is likely the next time I'll have any real interest/excitement for something Pistons related which is sad. Even in tanking seasons in the past I've been excited to see young guys late in the season but we're beyond that at this point.

Draft lottery anticipation for sure. Can we go from 1 to 5 again? :banghead:

I’m also pretty excited about watching the playoffs. It should be really competitive. Lots of teams think they should go far but there will be a lot of play-in and first round losers that will be stunned. These teams should add to Piston opportunities as they blow things up and/or maneuver around the cap.

Yeah slowest season ever for me as well.

Normally I'm at least all geeked up about the potential prospects we could get in the draft. This class though the prospects just get worse and worse as the year goes on.

Maybe we get some rumors after the season about potential trade targets for our lotto pick+some young players to shake things up. That would bring on some excitement.

No doubt. This is going to have the biggest impact for our team next year. Draft is meh. Very few quality free agents. So trades are most likely going to decide our fate for next year.

Stopped watching. If Fontecchio/Grimes/Duren come back, I’ll watch.

Grimes has missed seven straight and has appeared in just six of the 22 games he's been on the Pistons.

There’s no benefit to him playing even mildly injured

If Cade plays, I'll watch the entire thing... If it's like last game, I'll probably zone out, have it in the background, but if it's close, sure. It's difficult to become excited watching 10-day guys play.

Sasser and Ivey are considered day-to-day, but Sasser is probable with illness (why spread it to everyone else?) with Ivey as questionable with left knee soreness.

Duren is coming back tonight.. I hope he dunks everything in sight. Just don't dribble in the back-court. That **** annoys me. He could be getting position instead of fulfilling point guard sashays.

#1 option Jalen Duren would certainly be interesting to watch.

Is there any world where Duren eventually evolves into more of a mini-Giannis and is actually a PF? Or has it already been decided that he's a C? What if he learned to shoot 38% from 3pt? Does that helps his case for either positions or neither?? Todays league is so weird. In the past, somebody like him would want to play PF so they don't get beat up. In todays league we want him standing at the 3pt line regardless and there is like... no contact. Crazy how quickly roles have evolved. Or maybe I'm just getting old...

I’d be happy if anyone in the lineup shoots 38% from the 3

His post moves have gotten better this year. I guess he could learn to shoot from the 3. Stewart seems to have improved.

I want Duren to work on defense, FT, and dunking everything in sight like Dwight.. It would be a waste for him to practice shooting jumpers when he has other areas to improve on that are much more important.

The fact he's still just 20 I wouldn't say a waste of time to work on jumpers but I do think he should focus on everything inside 15 ft for now... Work on dominating in the paint, even short jumpers is fine IMO but I do agree defense, FT shooting, putting the ball on the floor, moves to the basket, etc are much more important than 3 points at this point.
