Honestly our solutions are simple.

1. Draft best available player
2. You sign best available player on any position but point guard.
3. Based on what you did with 1 and 2 you can make decisions to trade or keep Sasser, Ivey, Stewart, Duren for a legitimate wing or guard to play next to Cade.

That’s how you fix the team.

Scenario 1. Draft Sarr, trade Duren, keep Wiseman. Sign best available player or two. Trade one of Sasser Ivey or Grimes for veteran contract, I’d trade Sasser and a contract for a wing, resign Flynn as backup PG.

The secret is to hit on a second round pick in this draft.

I have to say Ivey has been much worse than I expected after the all star break. That’s the opposite of what happened to him last season so that’s disappointing. I would give him the third year but I would for sure make him come off the bench and man the second unit. I think it’s more than fine if Ivey makes a career off the bench, as long as the pieces fit it doesn’t matter. Grimes can start over Ivey. I think we should draft best available again this draft. If the player doesn’t fit, trade the pick.

Tough lost. Duren and Ivey should have showed out without Cade, but Flynn went crazy tonight.

Ivey better he careful or he'll end up being a 6th man soon. I still got hope he'll do well, but just be careful.

yeah i was apprehensive last season and disappointed he hasn't made strides in this area but his lack of awareness is a huge red flag. today's league with everybody trying to play 0.5 basketball means EVERY player on the floor has to have good awareness and make good and quick decisions on both ends of the floor. ivey is showing he really lacks that natural ability, and it's not an an or experience thing. ausar for example, despite some of his skills lacking has shown that he has really good awareness which makes me a lot more hopeful about his development.

Even though the front office forced Monty to start Ivey, it was nice to see him benched after a minute in the 2nd half for Flynn.

Hot take time, Ivey is worse than Killian Hayes right now. Hopefully his trade value isn't fully evaporated, it would be nice to trade him for an upgrade. I worry other teams are seeing the same things we see though.

Missed the game. This was great to watch. WTF, it’s hard to comprehend this 50. Makes me think differently about keepers for next year.

Was at this game, and saw it live Flynn being Steph Curry for the night. One of the most bizarre sequences I've seen

Atlanta at one point threw multiple guys at him to slow him down. But I could also tell they were going a bit light last night too which made it a closer game than expected

Ivey looked rough, no other way to put it. Duren was disappointing too, the lack of offense for him besides putbacks and a small hook shot really limits what we can do down there while guys just hover around the perimeter

Just seeing this live is pretty disappointing but not unexpected

“Anytime you have that combination of size and skill, you’re a unique player,” Atlanta Hawks head coach Quin Snyder said of Cunningham. “We forget sometimes how young guys are when they first come into the league and what that means. When you miss a year due to injury, not only do you have to recover from the experience that a year can provide, but everything that goes along with that rehabilitation process. “He’s a really, really good player, and that’s what you see when you watch him play, playing against him or watching him on tape.”

Uh oh I’ve been saying this about Ivey since beginning of the season ever since Monty benched him. Maybe fans are finally understanding Monty knows what he’s doing. Back to killian starting? Killian should’ve been traded a year before he got waived. Weaver gave a bunch of garbage to Monty to coach and was told to win games with a rookie lineup. I don’t believe any coach can win with these idiots.

I agree Ivey has poor awareness. That’s also where I am with Duren’s defensive awareness. Wiseman has shown more awareness on defense being able to contest shots at the rim. I see Wiseman contesting way more than Duren does. I don’t care for Duren’s numbers. IMO he’s the most valuable young player and we need to use him to get a legitimate wing. Anything to get us out of the gutter!

I mean I said it was a hot take...but you can't seriously watch Ivey and think he's a good basketball player right now either. He stinks on both ends of the floor. At least Killian played defense.
