I want FSU to win and Alabama to struggle in a win, so Oregon gets FSU at the Rose Bowl. I'm not scared of FSU (I'm not sure anyone is at this point), and it would just feel so cathartic to see probably the classiest and most mature player in the nation get a win against that superdouche down in Tallahassee. I'm sure today, in the moment, I'll be rooting for GT though; it would just be too glorious to watch them **** the bed at this point.

Agree with your picks for the games....will be really interesting to see how committee deals if OSU wins though.

i hope baylor/tcu can both get in but i doubt it'll happen. tcu/oregon will be a barnburner of a game if it happens

Perine for OU went down and looked to be in considerable pain. Was grabbing his ankle and leg. Sucks if he's hurt big

Bama is in complete control against Missouri, leading 21-3 at the half.

Looks like Oregon and Bama are definitely in, and after tcu's performance today they are probably in as well.

But who knows once the debates start.

I just have this awful feeling that Wisconsin will lay a tremendous egg tonight. Joel Stave hasn't turned the ball over in about a month and that terrifies me.

I'd be okay with giving Gordon and Clement the ball 60+ times and just bulldozing our way through the F*ckeyes.

If FSU and Ohio State both lose, it's Baylor's spot, without a doubt. If FSU loses and Ohio State wins by a hair, then we have a bit of a debate between Baylor and OSU.

FSU up at the half, they are certainly not used to this.

i think OSU WILL get the nod because, you know, prisoner of the moment mentality. as well as laziness, as the committee would surely prefer to punt on a very tough call between baylor and TCU. but OSU struggled to get through with 1 loss more than the other two teams did: struggled against navy, lost at HOME to VAtech, barely got by penn state...

theoretically, i like the idea that with an equal number of losses, strength of schedule should determine who gets the nod. just automatically. it would discourage the scheduling of non-conference patsies like baylor did

of course, in a fair world there would be a 6 team playoff this season
the donald, always unpopular, did worse in EVERY state in 2020. and by a greater margin in red states! 50 independently-run elections, none of them rigged

It didn't take long for us to get a season where a four-team playoff was too small. FSU is the sole undefeated team in the "big 5" conferences, but they've look like the weakest of the six teams in the mix... if we permit ourselves to look at margin of victory. I haven't looked at OSU favorably, and Wisconsin was overrated, but they did a really good job obliterating them. I'm pretty sure Baylor is left out, because the head-to-head argument conveniently overlooks the totality of what they and TCU did over the season (with TCU registering a slightly better non-conference schedule and a little better point differential/ratio). I'm just having trouble sorting out the rest... and comparing conferences is fraught with a lot of trouble.

I'm expecting the Big 12 gets left out of the cold, they get preached at for not having a conference championship (even though the two best teams in the conference probably would have been in the same division and wouldn't have both qualified for a conference title game anyway), the committee gets flogged for leaving controversy (even though it was unavoidable this time), and we find our way to an eight-team playoff sooner rather than later (probably with big conference champions assured a berth). We then hope that the inevitable controversies in the future surrounding the 8th spot will be things people can let go of... and I think we'll see eight hold up for a longer period of time.

I think it should be:
1. Bama
2. Oregon
3 FSU
4. Ohio state

I owe you guys some pics last week from the game that I promosed. Sorry I've been busy

Edit: and I agree it should be 8 teams. An argument for the 8th team is an argument for a team that likely wont it all, but the argument for the 4th seed is an argument for a team that can win it al.

nice.

given the situation best osu performance probably in over a decade but tcu still has a slightly better resume. let's hope billion dollar figures bama-osu game would provide blind the committee.

tcu barely beat the worst program in a power 5 conference. baylor struggled against horrible texas tech team. osu played only one team as bad as texas tech and kansas, and beat em by 66.

also meyer should've been the coach of the year. playing in big ten with 2 back up qbs and one of the least experienced olines in the country, yet manage to produced the 4th highest scoring team in the nation. that's f*cking amazing.
