General Week 7 NCAA Football Chatter

Post#1 » by bleu » Thu Oct 13, 2016 4:21 pm

We're going a little bit lighter on the game threads this week, but feel free to talk about any games not included in the game threads here. Still a pretty decent slate, although there are a few less top 25 matchups than we've seen the past few weeks.

Clemson is really struggling right now, tied 3-3 with NC State almost at halftime.

nothing like playing purdue to get your team back on track

really weird decision by purdue at the end of the half. they're at their 40 something got a play that got them a few yards but its 4th down with the clock running (less than 10 seconds) and they could just let it run and go to half but they call time out for one last play on 4th down........but then they just kneel it and go to half, under a chorus of boos

Can't imagine the frustration of the NC State fans after that one. They had it in the bag with no reason to lose, and somehow found a way to cough it up. Terrible loss.

Once again, the first half of the days games are terrible. I think Clemson/NC State was the only good one, and I didn't see that one.

Didn't watch any of the game, but pretty crazy to see that South Dakota State took down five-time FCS champs North Dakota State at their own place today.

Thanks Houston, you probably contributed to many Houstonian heart attacks this evening, and who knows how many drunken incidents to follow.

That was pretty fun to watch though ;)
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

What's confusing about them? They're really just not very good. They have a 15 point victory over Furman, and a win over Notre Dame (who clearly isn't too great this year either). Then four losses, three that they certainly should have won.

I'm just used to them being good lol. From playoffs to this, and I'm used to them beating Penn State in a 20 degree November game the last few years.
