COLLEGE FOOTBALL WEEK 3 DISCUSSION

Post#1 » by bleu » Fri Sep 15, 2017 12:14 am

What games y'all looking forward to? One that will probably be overlooked but I think could be very good is San Diego State - Stanford. Stanford has looked good, but got it handed to them by USC, and I think SDSU is a Top-25 worthy team. Watch for SDSU to keep it close.

I've got this Boise game on right now. I generally try to avoid watching games on that god-awful blue turf. But I guess since it's the only college action on I'll put up with it.

Also, I've got money on Boise as the 16 point favorite

Ok State should win handily. I really like their team this year, they're gonna make some noise.

Miami/Florida St, but too bad it's postponed.

I guess Clemson/Louisville could be good. Maybe Florida/Tennessee

I'm surprised South Florida is favored by 17 tonight. Is Illinois THAT bad?

Ho-hum another Husky blowout over Fresno State. Can't wait for the Pac 12 schedule to begin.

Yeah, seems like a pretty steep line. I don't think Illinois is that bad or USF is that good, but I guess we'll see. I think it's just the "Charlie Strong coached at Texas which is the greatest school which has ever existed so of course when he moves on to a 'lesser' program they'll be top-25 worthy" effect.

illinois might be that bad, they should have lost to ball state in week 1 (they were out played nearly the whole game)

the win over western kentucky was solid but its not clear if that program has fallen off a cliff with brohm gone

Not sure how much of the game I'll watch, but I expect USF wins by a touchdown or so

Or cause they did well last year and Charlie inherited some talent

Well, I guess this shows how much I know about AAC/bottom-feeder B1G football. Was hoping for a better one than this.

Funny I just checked the score after reading this and saw an AZ score at the same time and saw it was on espn. Didn't realize they were playing tonight

they are not good to begin with and half of illinois starters were true freshman, they fielded a quasi high school team

man this is a terrible game

mistakes all over the place, refs are way too involved, both teams have sideline warnings, iowa keeps shooting themselves in the foot in a desperate attempt to keep north texas in the game, people out of sync, just ugly football

and there is the 3rd unsportsmanlike conduct penalty of the half

the announcers have even made jokes when plays are successfully run without a penalty being called

its like the twilight zone
